The translation on that picture says that this is farewell to the Drum Hopper - and now joining the ranks of the Arm Bike in never taking anyone out So it’ll start with the Flying Bar/Sidewinder and go to the new obstacle then the usual setup. It’s strange to see how Inui is cutting-out parts of stages completely (last two obstacles in First Stage, first obstacle in Third Stage). So there’s definitely nothing exciting in the Second Stage, right?

Flying Bar and Sidewinder are first and second respectively. Because Drum Hopper did nothing so this is clearly a buff right now.

Flying Bar and Sidewinder are first and second respectively. And people can stop worrying that the Third Stage has somehow become ruined, the UCCH + VLK is still a thing.

So there’s definitely nothing exciting in the Second Stage, right? Maybe Backstream has been removed but who knows? On the picture of the Planet Bridge, you can see all of Stage 2 outside of the first obstacle (which probably won't change) in the background. The translation on that picture says that this is farewell to the Drum Hopper - and now joining the ranks of the Arm Bike in never taking anyone out So it’ll start with the Flying Bar/Sidewinder and go to the new obstacle then the usual setup. So there’s definitely nothing exciting in the Second Stage, right? Stage 3 wasn't "cut out" in any way -- One obstacle was retired with another new obstacle being added and an existing obstacle was moved up to allow space for the new obstacle. The Drum Hopper got removed and they added Planet Bridge but they wanted it to go 3rd so they moved the Flying Bar -> Sidewinder Kai up to the first two positions. That was exactly what happened in 31 when the Drum Hopper was moved from 3rd to 1st while the Rumbling Dice was dropped and the original Sidewinder was added in the 3rd position. Stage 3 is still six obstacles, and has been since 28.

There seems to be a red platform below the VLK start, unless I'm going crazy I see something under there, but that's the camera crane. The only red platforms are after the Sidewinder, after the Planet Bridge and the finish mat at the far end. The mid-air platforms are attached to the scaffolding on land just like the one after the Sidewinder and there's clearly no such attachment on the back end of the course.

Trash translating the Nu Body Prop tweet reveals that part of it moves automatically, like the cliffhanger ledge:
SASUKE Ninja warrior2018 New obstacle new Area [Planet Bridge] is a revised version of the old body prop. Move your hands to the ball, with your feet on the right side of the board. In addition, the scaffolding is continuously opened and closed 20cm automatic. Hard!
Given what a wreaker the OG Body Prop was, this sounds... fun.
Aaaaand some of the replies imply it's also diagonal, which makes sense looking at the picture.
Also RIP Drum Hopper, all my favourites are getting removed!

Damn, I thought it will be a spherical version of the Drum Hopper . I am pretty surprised that the Third Stage got a buff, especially the obstacle being similar to the Body Prop. I fear a fourth straight time with no Third Stage clears. Goodbye Drum Hopper, just like the Iron Paddler, you got replaced by the Flying Bar.

Shoutout to Misako for making me laugh at her tweet
"This area is like a demon that uses the whole body as well as grip strength. I feel it should be called Devil Planet (´-`*)"

Ok well theory time then: with the Planet Bridge coming in, the Drum Hopper going out, and the deadliest combo in Sasuke history still up and running, did anyone beat Stage 3 really? Or were the photos of Stage 4 with the salmon ladder bar at the top and a pic with the Stage 4 timer on just from testing or a clickbait?

Can't really say I'll miss the drum hopper, it was a cool obstacle but not really all that exciting, plus no one failed it.

Good new: the new obs in 3rd Stage is not Nail Clipper Bad new: Looking back at stage 2 all the familiar obstacles are there so I doubt there's any changes made to that stage. Time limit perhaps?

The Planet Bride appears to be there to take out people, rather than drain their strength like the Drum Hopper did. While the Stage may be harder, the UCCH may now be easier.
