So watching Sasuke 9 got me thinking about the 3rd Obstacles in Stage 3. I always thought the Globe Grasp/Lamp Grasper was tougher than the Curtain Cling and was mortified when i saw the Lamp Grasper (Its always been one of my favorite obstacles in stage 3) was gone in Sasuke 13. The re-addition of the Lamp Grasper in Sasuke 19(Kudari Version) got me thinking if it was potentially easier than the Curtain Cling. (Not to long ago there was discussion about the Curtain Cling being tougher than the Devil Steps) What do you guys think, since they re-added the obstacle in Kudari form, i dislike it. Its boring, easier and the globes are no longer illuminated. I know I included the Arm Bike, but thats just b/c i've always thought it was cool. Which of these 4 obstacles is the toughest?

The Curtain Cling is the hardest obstacle. The Arm Bike was not hard at all, no one failed it or really struggled with it all. The Devil Steps are a more difficult obstacle than the Arm Bike, but can still be done very quickly and easily. The Lamp Grasper is just about as hard as the Devil Steps or maybe even. Both can be done easily and with the right technique, quickly. The Curtain Cling however has a very hard obstacle. It was killer on the wrists and fingers.

Lamp Grasper because it looked the most painful and slippery.

I'd say the Curtain Cling, I can't believe people can hold there entire body up on that thing. They look like there floating at times...

I imagine Curtain Cling > Globe Grasp > Devil Steps > Arm Bike.

I think the Globe Grasp is the hardest.
People got accustomed to the Curtain Cling rather quickly and some flew across it with no problem. Even if you had a weaker grip, you could always wrap your legs around the curtains like PAT did in 17.
Everyone except Miyazaki has crushed the Devil Steps and no one failed the Arm Bike.

The Curtain Cling.
Until you try hanging onto a piece of fabric like that, you just have no idea how painful it is on the fingers. The Cliff Hanger is nothing compared to it.

Definitely would agree with the people that said the Curtain Cling. It is definitely the toughest to pass and has taken out a few strong competitors while it was still an obstacle. I also don't think the Globe Grasp was that hard, 9 people attempted it in Sasuke 12, and all 9 beat it. I would go Curtain Cling, then maybe the Devil Steps next.

I agree with Oti, the cliffhanger is pretty easy once you get the proper technique down and are use to it. Curtain Cling however, I just have no answer of how to do that one in an easy way. I've done the Devil's Steps, fairly simple, never tried something like the Lamp Grasp but it doesn't seem that hard one you learn what you're doing.

Most people ehre are right. The curtain cling is WAAAAY harder than those others.
Not only is it a slippery peice of fabrice, but you can't even bunch it up too many it easier to hold onto.
it's a tiny peice of fabric holding your entire body weight up, and until you've replicated and tried it, you have NO idea how hard it is.
Hanging onto little balls is easy, the globe grasp is not anywhere near the difficulty of the curtain cling.
Infact, I would say the curtain cling is easily harder than the old cliffhanger.
And I hav emy own cliff-hanger built, and I've replicated the curtain cling with an actual curtain stretched out the same amount of length. It's atleast twice as hard as the cliff-hanger.
You need some good finger strength to do it... I'm not sure if any grip strength is involved, but my figners were dead after practicing on it for awhile.
edit: Read Oti's response, I agree 100%.

I'm thinking globe grasp is tougher than devil steps.... but curtain cling is easily the hardest, and arm bike easily the easiest.
The 2 in the middle is a tougher decision.

I would say the Curtain Cling is close to the current Cliff Hanger's difficulty. The Cliff Hanger is beating it by a hair, though, simply because it's longer than the Curtain Cling. So, I'll rank the above obstacles and the Cliff Hanger: Cliff Hanger > Curtain Cling > Globe Grasp > Devil's Steps > Arm Bike > Curtain Swing I'd say the Curtain Swing was easier than the Arm Bike because, even though you need a good amount of grip for it, all you have to do is swing and grab. The Arm bike, on the other hand, requires a lot more force and power and it drains you more. The Devil's Steps are ridiculously easy and the only reason I don't want them removed is because they're a nice idea. Beyond that, they're pathetic (a third stage obstacle! It should be hard.) The Globe Grasp, while also very easy, required more endurance and precision. You couldn't just fly through it, unlike the Devil's Steps. Curtain Cling. Here we go. Nice, challenging obstacle. When you move over and fiddle with the fabric, trying to grab a glob of it, you have to hold yourself up with your other arm. All by itself. Also, grabbing that tiny bit of fabric is much harder than any of you think (unless you've done it, of course. Then you know. ) The only thing I can compare it to is breaking your finger tips from the pressure while cramping your fingers from squeezing so hard. The Cliff Hanger is, honestly, easy, but a tab harder than the Curtain Cling. If you have good grip and the endurance left, it's a quick climb to the summit, a swing and whoosh, a landing. Oh, and technique. If you have that down, it's easy.

I'm calling BS until you make a video doing three obstacles and then the cliffhanger.

Pretty sure my videos back up some of my claims, bro. Believe me or not, I don't care, but I'm not about to fight with you. Yes, this is the same Oti. .... Suck it. What I meant is the Cliff Hanger, by itself, is not a threat. If you have the grip to hang onto those ledges and the technique to make the jump, it's a piece of cake. I have both of those. I'm actually going to remake my Cliff Hanger soon so it's harder. I'm literally bored with my current one. And about those three obstacles... hmmm... I don't have the Arm Rings or Descending Globe Grasp and where I set my Devil's Steps up will interfere with the Cliff Hanger... How about I do 10 pull-ups to simulate each obstacle, wait thirty seconds, then repeat it until I get to the Cliff Hanger. Once there, I'll do 5 pull-ups (since some of my Cliff Hanger is missing), quickly get to the start of my Cliff Hanger and try it? 10 pull-ups is harder than ANY obstacle in stage three, so doing 10 for each obstacle should be a good replacement. As for the break... well... I'm using the full 30 seconds.

Now I'm not saying the Curtain Cling is easy or anything, but by watching people do it.. Most people seem to have it down pretty easily. Even the first time it came out. Are you sure it's not like the Cliffhanger where it just requires technique and grip strength?

In my opinion, it requires more grip than the Cliff Hanger.
