Now that it aired I can talk about 2 things. Kanno tore his ACL on that fall. Wreathman only arrived on set within half hour because TBS forced him to go even though he was in Europe. So dude came from the airport and immediately onto the set. None of us were surprised how badly he did. That's two of them excused so whats Yuujis excuse? Lol Unreal they shoe horned Ragivaru like that that's crazy!

Well, it wasn't a bad tournament, it wasn't a good tournament, it was the tournament There were a lot of surprise fails... And a lot of surprise clears... But there were so many surprises it kind of wore off like, Kawaguchi failing was somewhat surprising but at the same time it was like "Meh... not the most random thing to happen". I think Rolling Hill might have made the gap to the platform just a tad wider but I'm not 100% sure and that wouldn't explain all the derps. Stage 2... Ehhh it was boring, Stage 2 has been boring for years in Sasuke, I almost liked the Reverse Conveyor since it was a non-jobber version of the old Gyakso Conveyor but then I realized it was only artificial difficulty from forcing people to do it wet so it was hard for the wrong reasons so a mistake... Stage 3 I don't like the useless line on the Flying Bar and it seemed like it hurt more than any help it did... Also Sasuke's flying bar is too slidey anyways, I may get hatemail for this but I honestly prefer the ATS version that has that gritty rubbery foamish type thing inside to keep the bar from sliding too much. UCCH did its job by it being a matter of timing. It was a surprising tournament but at the same time honestly the most memorable thing to happen was Ibushi's save on the Double Pendulum and that was a Navi run. Like it wasn't a bad tournament like 32 or 29 but it was very unmemorable...

Given it's another summer recording for 34, I really hope they don't have rain issues again. Sure, the 3rd stage is covered, but the 1st, 2nd, and final, are not.

Wow I wonder if it'll conflict with ANW9 finals taping, it would be weird not to have the guy who made it the furthest twice in a row not that there, plus that's a lot of money to go to Japan on his own again

Oh yeah there was the 13 year old too, wasn't there? Yeah. Poor kid didn't lock into the TIE Fighter and it took off without him. He could only stand there and watch it slide away lol To be fair when he got to it I was like "can he even fit?"

I don't know if it was the cold or jet lag, but Drew looked off the second he touched the 3rd stage. I'm surprised he made it to the UCCH.

Yeah.. once the firestorm of the foreigners initially being not invited all of a sudden TBS went apecrap trying to get the foreigners back in. By that point Wreath was in Europe in an already schedule trip and TBS begged him to come back because he is sooooooooo visible.. Drew by that point was invited again (that situation is messed up having to beg to be invited again even after being last man standing from 31 - remember he wasn't initially invited in 32 either..) and then the rest of the foreigners had like a week's notice to make it to Midoriyama. As for the cold.. Morimoto mentioned he could barely hold his fingers together so he wasn't surprised people fell on obstacles that required a solid grip because the obstacles were frozen and it was just painful to grab onto metal pipes in the freezing air.

Oh god the summer heat is gonna be bruuuuutal. It might not be bad actually. Given he suggested the 6ish week production time will straddle seasons, it will likely film late August or September for an October airing.

Ouch, the whole foreigners situation sounds really terrible and sloppily done on the production's side. International spirit please.

Makes no sense that they just have a ton of randos that get cut, yet they don't even wanna invite the best of the foreigners?
