6: Katsumi Yamada. Gave up everything, still hasn't won 5: Bunpei Shiratori. Was consistent back in the day, but has been set back by a series of injuries. 4: Shingo Yamamoto. May have competed in every tournament, still hasn't won. 3: Kazuhiko Akiyama. The first ever champion, but his eye condition has affected his career. 2: Toshihiro Takeda. Reached Stage 3 13 times. Reached Stage 4 0 times, still legendary. 1: Makoto Nagano. The reason why we all watch SASUKE. He is immortal. HE IS SASUKE!
PS Why is Yuuji not an all star??? He's won twice right? Lol

Akiyama - Champions are always on top and showed everyone it is possible. Nagano - Because seriously do I even have to Takeda - Pushed him ahead of the 3 finalists because he still to this day has the 3rd stage record Shingo - 2-Time finalist even though his up and down performances evens out the record over 19 years Bunpei - If he had competed more (healthy) he'd be way higher on the list Yamada - 1 time finalist and all downhill from there.
Anyone asking why Yuuji isn't one hasn't bothered reading the DOZENS of threads on why he isn't. Use the search function. That's what it's there for.

1. Makoto Nagano - King of sasuke 2. Shingo Yamamoto - 2 time finalist, competed in every tournament, has some of the funniest fails on the show 3. Toshihiro Takeda - Stage 3 record holder, yet never reached the final while being so dedicated 4. Kazuhiko Akiyama - He's really good, but it's been a while since we've seen him in Stage 2. 5. Bunpei Shiratori - as arsenette said if he had competed more and in a healthier state he'd be highter 6.Katsumi Yamada no explanation needed

1)Nagano- showed he was special from Sasuke 8 (his first run that was actually shown) with how quickly and easily he cut through Stage 1...up until the Warped Wall. Sasuke 9 he showed something special again in Stage 1, except this time he blasted up the wall easily and basically ran up the Rope Climb to the shock of the audience. 5-time finalist and a champion. Even after his prime he showed his results could still stand up there with the rest of the competitors. He was a huge threat to the course from 18-24 and even in 27 he went as far as anyone could without extensive training for the UCH.
2)Akiyama- was way ahead of his time in Sasuke 4; still remained a threat to the course in Sasuke 12, 16, etc. Much like Nagano, he always had a natural ability for the course, but I think at some point he began to stop training seriously for Sasuke (maybe after 17) and it showed in his performances.
3)Bunpei- sort of came out of nowhere with his awesome performance in Sasuke 12 and I honestly believe that IF he had made it to Stage 4 in either Sasuke 12 or 16, then he would have beaten it. Along with Nagano he was the biggest threat to the course from 12-17. I think he would have had a real chance in the 18-24 era too if he didn't have problems with age/injuries.
4)Takeda- mostly solid (well before he returned) in Stages 1 and 2 and showed good consistency, but just couldn't make it to Stage 4. However he was a big threat to the course in the 18-24 era.
5)Shingo- a 2-time finalist. His leg stength and cardio back in the early competitions (Sasuke 11 springs to mind) was probably the best of all the competitors. He's had quite a few standout performances in the early competitions, but at some point he didn't become a huge threat to Stage 3 anymore.
6)Yamada- a very good competitor in his time and a big threat to the course, but just stopped doing well after Sasuke 12. He still showed SOME ability to beat Stage 1, specifically in Sasuke 16 and 18 (a very underrated performance of his) but age probably played a big factor.

1)Nagano - He was the complete package. He made every obstacle look easy and he reached the Final Stage more times than anyone else. While recent stars have many weaknesses in several stages, Nagano had none. He handled the 100 better than anyone and if his health was better, he could have achieved a 2nd Kanzenseiha somewhere in 20-24. He made SASUKE famous and proved a legendary competitor in shows like VIKING as well.
2)Takeda - He never reached the Final Stage and he never won a SASUKE tournament but there will never ever be a competitor as consistent as he was in his prime. Always being in the shadow of Nagano, many couldn't see his complete potential but to me, out of all the All-Stars, Kanzenseiha wasn't a Stage away, but only a jump. To me, he would nail the Final Stage but he was never destined to reach it. Lately he hasn't taken the competition as seriously as in his prime, but if he does, I think he can still reach Stage 3
3)Akiyama - The first Grand Champion of SASUKE. The thing with Akiyama is that he couldn't progress alongside the evolution of the course, something that Nagano and Takeda did. His problems with his eyesight seriously affected his SASUKE career and despite competing sporadically in the latter tournaments, he'd always make it deep into the first Stage.
4)Shiratori - The phantom of the All-Stars. He competed the least number of times amongst the team but there's a reason he was named an All-Star. His performances from SASUKE 11 to SASUKE 17 were just unbelievable considering his physique, his health problems and most importantly his advanced age compared to the other Stars. He was the guy Yamada wanted to be but failed miserably.
5)Yamamoto - Competed every time, he has the experience of a 100 guys, yet he'll always find the goofiest of ways to fail an obstacle. While he has had many great performances, he wasn't as consistent as the other All-Stars (minus the guy that comes up next). Thankfully, unless Takeda picks up the pace, he seems the leading man of the remaining All-Stars and he has had the most success amongst the team in the RISING era.
===Symbolism of the distance Yamada had from the All-Stars while watching them in several SASUKE tournaments lol===
6)Yamada. No comment. I don't want to write an essay at this time of the night.

6.Yamada-do I have to explain? 5.Bunpei-Age and health, all I have to say. 4.Shingo-He's competed everytime, got to the final twice, anything else? 3.Takeda-13...times...HOLY CRAP 2.Akiyama-The first winner, the only reason he's so high is because of that. 1.NAGANO-see yamada's reason

I honestly believe that IF he had made it to Stage 4 in either Sasuke 12 or 16, then he would have beaten it. He did make it to the final stage in 12.

6. Shiratori. He was a very good competitor and he is nice, but his lack of competing and poor exit in 30 makes him worst. No hate at all, i do just care more about results than about being an a*****e. 5. Yamada. Well, i don't wanna make an essay right now, but even though he is an a*****e and his results sucks, he once was a very good competitor and he is my first favorite competitor on Sasuke. Based on this, fifth place. 4. Yamamoto. I really haven't ever liked him, but his results are good and he isn't a*****e, so fourth place. 3. Akiyama. It was all downhill after SASUKE 12, but he still is the very first grand champion and has made emotional runs, so third place. 2. Nagano. Wot, Nagano not as first? On 2nd and 1st places, i do not really care about results, since they both are my favorite competitors ever on SASUKE. I won't explain more why i love Nagano, since it's obvious. 1. Takeda. Yeah, he is the best IMO. His results and consistency are awesome and i really find him funny and nice guy, so first place.
