As far as primes go: Nagano > Akiyama > Bunpei > Yamada > Yamamoto > Takeda
Then again it's way too hard to compare their primes considering they were at different times and on different courses.

My top list: 1) Nagano : Well, I can see why Nagano is the fan favourite among SASUKE, it's because of his many runs that make him memorable(Example : SASUKE 27) He also has the most excruciating fail in the FINAL STAGE ever (Remember SASUKE 12?), also for his numerous FINAL STAGE appearances matched by none (5 appearances), and even in his last tournament, he managed to show the Shin Sedai how to tackle the 1ST STAGE in SASUKE 32, which proves that even in his final days of SASUKE, he showed that Nagano's still got it! This, among many, are the reasons why Nagano is the top gun of the All-Stars
2) Akiyama : Well, maybe not as famous as Nagano. But he has some emotional runs, including his 1ST STAGE clear in SASUKE 11 with 0.03 sec left, etc., but despite this, even when he has an impaired eyesight, he always tries to do his best to hold up his title. Despite his obvious disadvantages, he never gives up and never makes an excuse for failing. That's Sportsmanship (Yamada, I'm looking at you)! Yeah so while not as memorable as Nagano or even Takeda and Yamamoto, he still has a lot of grit, and worthy of my #2 spot.
3) Takeda : He has an obvious distinction among the All-Stars (Only one to have never made it to the FINAL STAGE), despite his incredible 3RD STAGE advance rate. But, what makes him memorable (although not as much as Nagano), is in the SASUKE 5-17 Era. In SASUKE 5, he became the first to clear the 1ST STAGE, despite over 70 competitors that came before him having all failed, as well as (never forget) SASUKE 11 - 17, where he advanced to the 3RD STAGE a whopping 7 times in a row, and cleared the 1ST STAGE 8 times in a row (tying with Nagano). Sadly, apart from SASUKE 8, 12, 17, and maybe hisShin-SASUKE 3RD STAGE appearances, I don't think he's in any position to clear the 3RD STAGE. See, even with his incredible 3RD STAGE appearances, he has failed there all 13 times, a stage where every other member of the All-Stars have little to no trouble completing at least once, as well as failing the 1st obstacle of the 1ST STAGE (Although Yamamoto failed it as well, so I can sorta forgive him for this?) So, that's why he's Number 3.
4) Yamamoto : Yes, he has competed in every SASUKE ever since the 1st tournament, but he has quite a bit of derpy fails (Example : SASUKE 22). He does, however, have a soft spot in my heart for being the only All-Star to have cleared the 1ST STAGE twice. But sadly, apart from his FINAL STAGE appearances in SASUKE 3 and 7, he is in, again, no position to ever achieve Kanzenseiha. He has never made it past the Cliffhanger since SASUKE 7, and has never made it to the Cliffhanger Kai since SASUKE 12, let alone clear. And the sad thing is, whenever he has an opening to do something great, his shoulder injury always gets in the way; his final FINAL STAGE appearance in SASUKE 7 and his most recent 3RD STAGE appearance in SASUKE 23 were both ended early due to a shoulder injury. And that's quite sad considering that Yamamoto was primed to be the next champion in SASUKE 7. While he is memorable, he dosen't really have the same charm that the first three All-Stars mentioned have. and that's why he's at Number 4...
5) Shiratori : The main reason why he's so low on this list is that his injury effectively retired him from SASUKE, seeing he only competed once since SASUKE 21, and that apart from SASUKE 12, and maybe SASUKE 13 and 16, he is in no position to ever clear the 1ST STAGE... His age really catches up with him in the later tournaments, and that he's only really known for being the only one who can clear the original Jump Hang with one foot. He's only competed 12 times, the least of the All-Stars due to ageing and injuries. (In contrast, Nagano competed 26 times, Takeda competed 26 times, Akiyama competed 20 times, Yamada competed 27 times, and Shingo competed the most out of anyone period; 32 times), and was never really active. But sad as it is, there is no one that is like this next All-Star and no one like him has ever graced the earth, and everyone knows him for his notoriety. So he's only at Number 5.
6) Yamada a.k.a. Mr. SASUKE : Hoo boy, where to start with him? Well, his attitude has been covered many times mostly by Arsenette among others, So I'll keep it brief. Well, to put simply, he's an absolute jerk. Faking Injuries and crying to get bystanders' attention, Alienating his family for his own ambition, hogging the spotlight, etc., Those are but some of the many reasons why most people in the SMF put him in last place. But his SASUKE appearances is what puts him in last place for me. He may have a near miss of a Kanzenseiha in SASUKE 3, but apart from that, and possibly SASUKE 6 and 10, he is in absolute 0 position of achieving Kanzenseiha. And ever since SASUKE 12, he has never cleared the 1ST STAGE. Seriously, it's so bad that I made my entry on this post to talk about this clunky 51-year old man alone! And apart from SASUKE 16 and 18, he is in 0 position to ever reach the 2ND STAGE since SASUKE 12. He has timed out a grand total of 11 times, In the Soritatsu Kabe (Warped Wall) for a whopping 7 times, the Final obstacle 3 times (Rope ladder in SASUKE 7 and 16, Rope ladder in 18), and once in the Wall Lifting in the 2ND STAGE courtesy of wasting 17 seconds before the Spider Walk (Well, if he didn't remove tape, he would've failed the Spider Walk lol), and should be noted when he failed the jumping portion of the Jumping Spider in SASUKE 19, and the Slider Jump in SASUKE 23, he was already low on time, and even if he did managed to clear those jumping portions, he would time out while still on those obstacles anyway. And he really did went too far when he argued with the director Masato Inui (Seriously, you do NOT want to have an arguement with him). Seriously, Arsenette really went into detail how he was an A****** to others, so I won't explain it here. But really, despite having points from me for never giving up, for declining performances since SASUKE 12, and being a B*****d to others, Yamada lands on Number 6 and Last place for me.
NOTE : This is 100% Opiniated; if you think that the ordering should be different, it's totally fine by me. Everyone has different opinions you know!

6. Katsumi Yamada 5. Kazuhiko Akiyama 4. Bunpei Shiratori 3. Makoto Nagano 2. Toshihiro Takeda 1. Shingo Yamamoto (Got personal reasons as to why he's #1) we all know why lol but to all who are new here's the reasons for the rankings. Yamada Katsumi - 6th (Pretty much a jerk. Pretty much. His performances are lackluster at best except SASUKE 3, 6, and 10 and after 12 he would never clear the 1st stage. Real persistent but that's it. Also he's allergic to walls that are warped. ) Akiyama Kazuhiko - 5th (He's a champion I get it but his performances took a nosedive since then. Besides 11 and 12 he never really saw himself deep in the tournament since his eyesight continued to get worse. He is also persistent but he has a good heart unlike Yamada. But he's ALSO allergic to warped walls...) Shiratori Bunpei - 4th (I can only remember his shrine but he's got runs that helped him shine despite competing the least of the all stars. 12, 13, 15 (ESPECIALLY), 16, and 17 he gave impressive runs all throughout. His age caught up to him real quick after that but he's helped other SASUKE veterans train including... Hiromichi Sato? ) Nagano Makoto - 3rd (A humble man and a champion. It's hard NOT to like him! He's amazing in so many ways and he's the embodiment of sportsmanship, cheering fellow friends to push on and to feel in their sorrows. His runs are legendary including SASUKE 17 where he won. But he's tangoed with the final stage 5 TIMES! More than any other. SASUKE 11-13 as well as SASUKE 23 gave impressive runs to the end but he's also shared some... shocking fails too. SASUKE 24 jumps to mind here. He just retired after SASUKE 32 after putting on an impressive show beating all the obstacles in stage 1 except 1... the time. A poetic ending for such a humble champion. The only reason why he isn't higher is just I feel there are others who speak to me more (literally)) Takeda Toshihiro - 2nd (A man of such consistency but not exactly a final stage veteran by any stretch... dang that 3rd stage. He's got heart and he has the determination to face the new stars and to keep the all star name alive. He wanted to return after 28 and made a stand to reunite them. Good for you! His runs are also quite unforgettable during the era after Akiyama's win starting the trend of 3rd stage appearances. SASUKE 12 and 17 had him close to clearing but just missing out. All and all he's quite positive during his runs. But he also has his emotional runs like SASUKE 24 and that alone will break me... ouch. Didn't help things when that was his LAST 3rd stage run for the foreseeable future...) Yamamoto Shingo - 1st (Happy-go-lucky and always giving a smile, it's the goofball. He's seen it all. SASUKE 1-32 he's been at each one and he isn't about to stop. His runs speak for themselves. SASUKE 3 and 7 saw him toe to toe with the final stage and he's seen a lot of the 3rd stage too! Problem is he's got this shoulder issue that has plagued him for years. SASUKE 5, 7, 9, and 23 saw something like this happen. Then there's the runs that are infamous... SASUKE 22's plank fail, SASUKE 27's spin bridge fail, and who could forget SASUKE 31's ROLLER HILL FAIL. But despite all that he has that charm and positive deposition that makes it impossible to not love this guy. Keep running Yamamoto-san. Keep running.)

1 - Shingo Yamamoto - Personal favorite. Easily the most likable competitor.
2 - Makoto Nagano - Been to the Final Stage many times. Achieved total victory.
3 - Toshihiro Takeda - Been to Stage 3 how many times? Very consistent.
4 - Kazuhiko Akiyama - First total victory. What if he didn't have that eye condition?
5 - Bunpei Shiratori - Hasn't competed enough to rank higher.
6 - Katsumi Yamada - Seems too devoted. No one should put this above his/her family.

1: Makoto Nagano - Made it to the final stage several times, came close every time and achieved Kanzenseiha, being the first person to do so in 13 tournaments.
2: Toshihiro Takeda - While he hasn't done so well recently, he was a very strong competitor a while back. He's also easily likeable.
3: Shingo Yamamoto - Despite not doing very well recently, he keeps coming back and devoting his time to Sasuke. Very likeable as well.
4: Kazuhiko Akiyama - First grand champion, but because of his condition, he didn't do very well afterwards, and stopped competing a while back.
5: Bunpei Shiratori - I would like him more if he had competed more, but he himself also had health issues.
6: Katsumi Yamada - While he was very dedicated to Sasuke, he was too dedicated, and put it above his friends and family, which was not cool. Also, he was a bit of a jerk.
