I'm completely fine with that, what I was just asking was wanting to see where TBS said it, I legit want to know, I'm not one of those people who hates being wrong and would loved to be proven wrong about this one I did but you guys didn't want to listen and I'm being "biased" because I'm clear on the ruling that was broadcast worldwide last year. Not remember that I pitched a fit that they fast forwarded that piece of history last year? It is still on my blog. Was it something the announcer said during the run? Because that might be where the confusion is stemming from because of the narrator talking over it in the only footage of it

I'm surprised they showed Kacy's run on the Navi and not the main show considering how she did. I won't be surprised if they cut Texan in Tokyo. Sorry Arsenette I just don't think it'll happen

It's quite interesting to me that Kacy's run was a Navi run. Makes me wonder if we aren't going to see a woman do better than her in the main broadcast. I feel like we have to only because it would be a let down for the best women's result in 32 to be relegated to the Navi even if she's not notable. Or even someone getting closer to a clear but just missing out (higher up or just missing the button). But I'm holding out hope there's a clear taking the obvious precedence.

Considering they didn't show Grace or Reina's run (heck they didn't even mention Grace at all) I'm still hoping for a fast forward. The fact that they weren't mentioned still gives hope they will be shown in some fashion tomorrow morning. If they were shown on Navi I KNOW they will be cut. LOL To be fair they didn't show Mika's run either.

TBS f***ed up with their ruling then. Or maybe they were just desperate to have a woman clear the WW. Because she obviously didn't clear the WW in the given time limit.

That was enough for TBS to consider her the first women to ever clear it. Ayano's ruling is consistent with that. Calling it 'desperate' is blanket ignorance.

well I'm glad that kacy did well. I personally got into sasuke because of Levi. Seeing him compete with all Japanese competitors in Sasuke 20 and being the last man standing was just awesome to watch and I've been hooked since. After that we started sending more and more Americans over there and then of course ANW4 had to ruin everything.
Arsenette I understand that you have probably been interested in Sasuke way before 20 so everything American in sasuke probably infuriates you. But truth is Kacy did better than pretty much every Japanese woman I've ever seen run the sasuke course and its a shame that you and all of Japan could pretty much care less.

Don't accuse me of things I haven't said or done. I was asked what they thought of her. I said what they said. I said she should be celebrated for getting to where she did. She didn't clear however and another woman has 18 years ago. Clearly you don't read my blogs when I gush about Americans kicking a** on Sasuke. Tired of people pissing all over me on perceived things I never said.

Watanabe is the first woman to ever clear the warped wall, and Ayano is the first women ever to do so in Sasuke. However, I agree with Rider in believing that while both these women compleated the WW, neither of them should be given the credit for clearing it. But that's none of my buisness...

All the arguing aside.. Arsenette, do you think Kacy will be invited back next year?
And another thing I'm wondering. What if Kady or any other woman does get by stage 1, do you think they would alter stage 2 at all?

Of the current configuration of Stage 2, perhaps the Cross Slider, possibly the Backstream (since that's been adjusted mid-competition before both to people's benefit and deterrent). And I'm not quite certain the conveyor actually moves in competition and certainly not enough to justify an adjustment. Nothing else really seems adjustable. We just don't need another Sasuke 2 where the course design inadvertently stunted a run because it wasn't built for their body type at all.

I was catching some Z's because I had a long run scheduled this morning (but you'd better believe I'm taking tomorrow off to stay up tonight!) so I couldn't watch it live, but I thought this year's Navi was awesome! Packed with everything a good Navi should have--fluff pieces, runs, a decent course preview, other fun tidbits, and all-around good editing to get the hype rushing through the blood. This Navi really made me want to take a stab at auditioning one day (in my dreams! Haha. I know it's impossible even if I wanted to).
Anyway, I thought Kacy did a really nice job and I was disappointed she couldn't find those last few seconds to clear. As a runner I know that's the worst feeling! Obviously clearing the Soritatsu Kabe was impressive, and I'm not going to comment on the 'who cleared first' thing, but I will say WOW at her clearing the tackle, those things looked heavy as hell for someone her size--congrats on a great run. I probably couldn't have done any better, with all the nerves and whatnot, so it's cool to see ANY rookie do well, no matter who it is.
This First Stage looks really balanced and fun to watch. I think the Log Grip and Jump Hang Kai were ripe for replacement and I'm glad we've got two fresh ideas in their place. Tie Fighter is exciting to watch (it's hard to tell if anyone is really lodged solidly into place) and the time limit seems fair. That being said, I expect a lot of clears. The only obstacles I could see taking out veterans by surprise are the first two.
The Second Stage will at least be a little more interesting with the conveyor than it has been, but I don't think it'll do any more damage than usual. The Salmon Ladder will take out people who have never trained on it, the back stream will take out people who suck at swimming, and the walls will take out anyone too weak to lift them. I would expect 5-8 clears here.
The Third Stage looks like it will make for an absolute bloodbath. Every obstacle is threatening, and even if anyone survives the first three, there's basically no way anyone is getting past the new cliffhanger. And by some miraculous chance anyone does, they will surely be defeated by the Vertical Limit that comes right after it. No way anyone makes the final this time. It'll be Sasuke 25 without the novelty of the UCH.
Really looking forward to tonight!
