Good luck everyone! You all can do it! (BTW did you mean to make a sad face here arsenette?) It's weird thinking this isn't in Venice...

I've been in the walk on line so much that at this point it shouldon't be a sad face but a puzzled as to how I haven't learned to do a video or still crazy enough to be a walk on. I think I'm king of the walk ons by this point I don't know if anyone else has been in 6 or more walk ons

I am infuriated that David didn't get a call this year. He is like the most dedicated ninjas ever, and even though he gets through the course ho-hum, he has a nickname(The God Father) that makes him as memorable as other competitors. Also, considered that competitors from Venice have always messed up in Vegas (correct me if I am wrong, but I remember no one from Venice got through Stage 1 in Season 6 and only Kevin Bull got through Stage 2 in Season 7), I wonder why they decided to turn down a competitor like David. Ryan Stratis had a serious injury and they allowed him a few months to heal when he should have competed in Atalanta. But he deversed that. The same for David. They have been the face of the show from the very first days. Now I don't know who is next, maybe Paul Kasemir?
P/S: I don't know how they would introduce David on the show if he is chosen to run. Like "He has been on the show from day 1, the first to build a backyard course and this year, he is a walk-on." Fans would be enraged.

David being forced to being a walk-on is almost as absurd as Okuyama being a Stage 4 finalist and four tournaments later not even successfully getting through auditions.

Hey for absurdity.. they have a champion having to requalify... so nothing surprises me anymore.. nothing. somethingsomething 'fair chance' somethingsomething 'equal footing' somethingsomething but he's would just be taking up a spot for someone else and Vegas doesn't always use 100 people anyways so why would he count in the overall total qualifiers plus they're gonna look real silly if you put him in a bad region

I always assumed that this is the same thing that happened to Brian Orosco, aka Mr Ninja Warrior lol. Found it hard to believe he just quit. Except Brian wasn't even making it out of qualifying. Side note in the wrong thread, excited he met with the Finding Midoriyama guys this week!

Hey for absurdity.. they have a champion having to requalify... so nothing surprises me anymore.. nothing. More episodes with a champ = more chances for a surprise either good or bad = more ratings. Also I don't think anyone should get a jump straight to vegas even if they're going in as champion since applying is going to qualifying and city finals (I know those are glorified trials). Also say hypothetically you run a game show, someone wins, this person gets to skip ahead a few rounds in the show, what producer would want to make it easier for someone who already proved they could do it to get a million bucks?

The Godfather is really in the walk on line?
I can only assume this has everything to do with the "disagreement" he had a while back with production.
Mesa your the man. Love the dedication. Im more than willing to be crazy right along side you in the walk on line. It sucks but at the end of the day your making it happen! Respect brother

Unless there was some incident I didn't hear about his disagreement with production was ANW4 telling them stage2 was OP and no one was going to clear it (And he technically was right but let's not open that can of worms up again...), if they were going to kick him to the walk on line over that they would have done that YEARS ago... and he didn't walk on in ANW5 (or 6, or 7) so that's a non issue
