Oh my god Akbar trying way too hard with that Alphabet (two?)-liner I don't know, I've seen some parts of the Ninja Warrior community and I think it needs a good dose of education on literacy. Good on you Akbar for teaching kids the letters

Anyone going to mention Flip? I now have a serious amount of respect for the guy. In true ANW fashion, you've been ninja'd. I don't believe I follow. Elaborate?

What was this about the whole casting team walking away after last year? Casting for ANW must be a pretty plum gig given the ratings, but I've also heard enough horror stories from friends who work in casting (not ANW) that a total walkout seems quite possible.

I have no idea if they walked out or were axed by management, or what the reasoning would be in either event. All I know is that for one reason or another the casting team was rebooted this year.

I feel like more fell at the Wedge than 16. I honestly only remember Connealy, Natalie Duran, Kretsch, and Jesse La Flair falling before the Wedge. It was honestly started with "Ok well if they get to the wedge they'll go to Vegas" and quickly changed to "Well who can get to the wedge in less than 3 minutes" lol Do you know who in LA got wildcards to Vegas?

I think 100% of the wild cards were women. So...Natalie Duran.

I have a question: did they change the rule about the fastest the furthest, or is it me that doesn't remember the rules from previous years? I noticed that they counted the time when one fell on an obstacle; however, I believe that in the past they counted the time when you reached an obstacle?? Or am I wrong? Imo this doesn't make sense. Let's imagine this hypothetical scenario: competitors A and B both reach the same obstacle. A reaches it after 2:00, B after 1:50, so B is better at this point. On the obstacle, A makes one move, falls immediately and finishes with 2:03. B completes 90% of the obstacle, falls at the last moment, and finishes with 2:25. Why should A then be rewarded and placed ahead of B in the standings?? Or am I getting something wrong?

{About the finals:}the editing of NBC is such a terrible spoiler. Why would they show an unknown rookie very late in the show? Exactly, because he must've finished the course! Just like with Nick Coolridge last year, I didn't even need to watch Josh Levin's run to know that he'd finish the course. It completely takes the tension out of the episode. Also, why can't they wait until the end of the episode to crown the PMO run of the night? By giving it to Levin, I also didn't need to watch Bull's run, as I knew he wouldn't finish, because otherwise he'd have been the run of the night. I get the idea that it's a dramatic effect for the TV audience, but it's simply a huge spoiler... They should just show them in the normal order in which they run and that's it. Anyway... Josh Levin, rock climber? I think this could be a future ANW winner, but probably not before seasons 9 or 10 (and if he did indeed win this year please don't tell me, thanks . PS: Jessie Graff is just unbelievable, she dominated this course. So smooth and confidents in her movements, second place (!) in the city finals... Wow

It should have been when they touched the bar, but for some people like Flip, idk.

I was there live that was indeed the fastest 15. Also they did show them very close to the actual run order. Main difference was Jessie ran after Levin

Makes me sad to say this, but that course was absolutely lethal, if you ran that as stage 1 in Japan I could only see 3-4/100 clears.
Then again, Japan is 50% joke competitors, so make it 7/100.
Anyone know how many people run these courses nowadays in ANW? This was finals so only 30?
