Both NBC and Esquire have their own dedicated players. I'm sure they added all of them together. Still though, impressive amount.

Honestly it was an easy fix too, just move the landing pad closer, but nah. Also video with 50 mil views is on Collider.com's facebook, with 53M now.

Preview mostly featuring The Wedge. Apparently, their original design was deemed nearly impossible so they chose one with a 50% failure rate in testing. ...gonna stock up on Lacrosse balls. I have a bunch oh wait that is because I played club Lacrosse in college. I wonder what brand they used.

In chat last night, we were informed that there is a double wedge in stage 2 I know, but it seems like it trashes the whole concept of the immediate explosiveness and quick decision making normally required for the second to last obstacle of Stage 2, would fit better in Stage 3.

It breaks 1 mil if you combine the counts on both videos, so... a little closer to 50... Completely possible there is some Facebook video (with the associated grossly inflated view count) floating around of her. There is. Someone on reddit complained about it, and someone pointed out that the run on FaceBook had over 50 million views. Still, FB views are not reliable, and the way they showed the views is disingenuous.

Well to be fair.. I got calls from my family asking me if they saw Jesse's run online and they didn't do that for Kacy. LOL They also did that with the T Rex video.

Overall, I agree that it was an odd choice. But Stage 2 had a ridiculously long time limit (I think it was 3:30) so maybe they just wanted to try something different. The only think I'm glad is both wedges had their own bar. If they expected people to jump the first bar onto the second wedge, I would be pissed.

So I'm curious about the physics of the Wedge. I understand people are somewhat pumped by the salmon ladder...but from just looking at it, I wouldn't imagine the impact of each jump is even close to that of the flying bar. But it seemed like it jolted people way more. The only thing I'm thinking is the reason isn't the impact, the that the bar spun as it landed, making the fingertips take the brunt of the impact. I know it spun as well as wiggled as they were going for the lache, so I guess it probably spun after each jump as well.

Damn, 210 seconds for what used to be the speed stage, GG ANW

All you needed was the cross grip, not sure why competing in LA shuts the ninja's brains off. Do you know if they cut anyone who made it to the Wedge? Or did 16 people actually fail there?

Only thing that might be tough is that with a switch grip it is tougher to keep the bar straight (because you're using two different possibly unequal muscles) and the bar might go sideways a la Kevin Bull. Although wouldn't laching at the end be tough with a switch grip? Maybe you could switch back at the end?

I feel like more fell at the Wedge than 16. I honestly only remember Connealy, Natalie Duran, Kretsch, and Jesse La Flair falling before the Wedge. It was honestly started with "Ok well if they get to the wedge they'll go to Vegas" and quickly changed to "Well who can get to the wedge in less than 3 minutes" lol

That would be suicide, most of the people with the foreward grip fell at the end anyways, that was when the bar spun the most.

I always believed that Jessie Graff was one of the best, if not THE best, female competitors. I changed my tune this season. I am now removing the word "female" from that description. Also, I know he hinted at it a few times, but to hear Flip openly talk about his past like that, my heart felt for him. If there is one reason above all else I watch season after season of this show, it's to watch people grow and mature on the course. Finally, Sorry about what happened, baronbk. Hope you will get a chance to avenge yourself! And while you may not have hurt right afterwards, I bet you were feeling that the next day. I feel like more fell at the Wedge than 16. I honestly only remember Connealy, Natalie Duran, Kretsch, and Jesse La Flair falling before the Wedge. It was honestly started with "Ok well if they get to the wedge they'll go to Vegas" and quickly changed to "Well who can get to the wedge in less than 3 minutes" lol There were some more fails before that. I remember at least one person besides Jesse failing the Salmon Ladder, and that Siever guy failed the Tick Tock in a digest.
