This was edited BEFORE a certain thing was recorded... I wouldn't look too much into it It's only coincidence but even still... I feel sorry for him. Trust me, I'd be surprised if they didn't show his finals run they should at least show it for how much he was beasting it, especially Doorknob Arch

FREEDOM! (from the NDA)
Jason Khazi, Todd Mitchell, and PJ Granger were the first three to run and all cleared the easier version of the course. After two more runs (Jason Hammonds failed the Devil Steps and Tony Torres failed the Wind Chimes) they removed a wind chime and changed up the Devil Steps as noted on the broadcast.
Justin Kydd, Mike Bernardo (DQ), Adam Mihm (DQ), Miles Avery, and Michelle Warnky all failed the Snake Bridge on night 1 but as mentioned earlier they were given a re-do due to the obstacle breaking. Mike Meyers, Danny Johnson, Geoff Britten, Ron Schmidt, Brian Wilczewski all cleared on night 1. Elet and Joe ran on night 2 since so few people got to run on night 1 due to the delays.
I got Scott Maxson confused for Danny Johnson. Both are incredibly cool dudes.
My cable went out so I don't know if they showed Jessica Britten (Geoff's wife). She failed the Log Grip.
There was a guy named Jedediah who was nicknamed "The Jedi" and his family brought green pool noodles as lightsabers. The crowd was super hot for him but he got a re-run on night 2 so I can't speak for what happened then.
The female MMA fighter they showed was the only person to fail the steps.
Amber Holbrook (they told us her name was Cailyn which is why we were all chanting Cailyn) had the run of the night by far. She was the first to clear the hardest version of the Snake Crossing and was one of a VERY few who cleared the broken version. I assume she got a wild card in Vegas. That's me in the red hoodie standing up. Now you know why everyone was going crazy. By the way, her knee hit the Snake Crossing so technically she should have been DQ'd but no one was going to be a d*** enough to DQ her.
Mike Needham was next to run when I left. In total they ran 68 people before 4 AM and 19 of those re-ran on night 2. I was in the POM Warm-Up Zone(TM) for a good chunk of the night so I wasn't on TV on much at all.
The Log Grip was more brutal than TV made it appear. Almost every girl that attempted it failed. A few guys failed it too. Most of the girls who beat the Log Grip also failed the snake.
Even after the Snake Crossing got fixed, it was still incredibly slippery from the dew overnight. About 8 people ran between 2 AM and 4 AM and none beat the Snake Crossing.
3 of the first 36 called beat the Snake Crossing. They shut down for about an hour to demonstrate how to properly do the obstacle. It worked because 3 of the next 6 cleared. It's safe to say that we'll never see this obstacle again. That record from Houston with the Tilting Slider was soundly beaten.
In case I haven't put over Danny Johnson enough in this post, he was the only one of 36 people to beat the hardest version of the Snake Crossing and beat the entire course. The dude is a beast.
One guy's foot hit the water on the Log Grip and then got knocked back by the log into the water. It was great. There were a few epic saves on the Log Grip. Matt of Team Nash was one, I don't know if they showed him or not.
Matt Scoletti (first guy shown) splashed his family after he failed on the Log Grip. I'm pretty sure they didn't show it. We thought it was funny. For some magic of video editing notes, he was #39 to run.
10 walk-ons ran. The second group of 5 all failed the Snake Crossing. I hate that obstacle. Burn it with fire.
The venue was a disaster. I think I mentioned that earlier. If they ever put ANW back here (and by how much they were putting Pittsburgh over it wouldn't surprise me), they need to have this way better coordinated or let spectators park at the venue. Hell, put it on North Shore Drive. Perfect view of the skyline and they shut down that road like once a month for 5Ks. There's like 10,000 parking spots right nearby.
I don't think there was anyone else notable that I'm leaving out. As bad as this all sounds, I had a blast. The ANW community is so awesome.

Jessica didn't get aired, and actually night one she failed the Snake Crossing, was one of the Re-Runs and failed the Log Grip on her retry. "Jedi" failed the Devil Steps in his re-run but wasn't fast enough to make it to the top 30

Jess didn't get to rerun anything...! She couldn't hold onto the log grip, grips, but still almost made it. Next year she will be blasting it, there is 0 doubt.

I think I might have been remembering wrong and mixed her up with someone else... My bad, it's been over a month and the sleep deprivation was real that week, whoops.

Also, Isaac will get 50x more hype for his city finals run because of him performance too.

Good job Geoff and Mike Bernardo! Awesome to see you both do well ^^ Rest not too fussed about, as I'm not invested in them or they don't day hi on SMF . Either way I'm pleased Mike got his re-run, it would have sucked if he went out due to some crappy obstacle again

My thoughts on the episode. Shocking fails: Chris Wilczewski, Dan Galiczinski, Michelle Warnky (even if she's still in the finals)
P.J.'s run was very cool to watch
Jamie Rahn's leap on the Snake Bridge was crazy, but it worked!
Surprised at how much trouble Jamie Rahn had on the qualifying course. Hope he makes it through the finals.
Wish they had mentioned the Snake Bridge issues.
Elet Hall is crazy fast, but he never seems to rush.
Love how Matt was saying to send out #WarnkyStrong, when they used #MightyMichelle.
Shout-out to geoffnotjeff and mikebernizzle! Overall, a pretty well done episode.

I was actually more visible in the crowd this time, despite the fact they kept shooting Doorknob Arch from an upwards angle which completely puts me out of shot lol

My cable was in and out but I was told that there were 2 Kacy mentions, so the count is up to 142. So glad that we're almost at Vegas.
EDIT: There were only 5 cities last year, right? (I think I abandoned it halfway through.) 12 weeks of regional rounds takes FOREEEEEEEVER. They so badly need to put the qualifiers on Sunday night on Esquire and the city finals on Monday night on NBC. Just make the qualifiers less upper-body intensive so more girls get to the city finals round. Hell, just send the top 5 girls to the city finals anyway. Maybe the Kacy fail was hurting the ratings but nothing is hurting the ratings more than 12 weeks of the "same" repetitive course. At least with shows like AGT you see a wide variety of talents, which is why it's doing so well. Considering all the bonus stuff they did in Vegas this year, surely they can stand to take a few extra weeks in Vegas.
After the military region there are only going to be three weeks in Vegas unless they're pushing USA vs. The World to the winter. Bear in mind that they took 6 hours to broadcast Vegas 3 years ago with less fluff pieces and with considerably less runs to show. (Granted, SASUKE takes 3-4 hours to show 100 competitors so it's not impossible, but they cut 1/3 of the runs and digest a solid chunk, and also the fluff pieces aren't nearly as long.)
EDIT 2: Okay, with 15 (16 total but NHL caused one of those to be preempted) Mondays in the summer season, it's kind of hard to do 9 Vegas weeks, but you can kill one of those weeks with a clip-show. Maybe open with a preview show or 2 hours of hype on Memorial Day. I don't think the ANW format lends itself very well to stretching out across 15 weeks like a competition like The Voice or American Idol can. With those you can always add in BS rounds to drag it out, like eliminating 1 person every week. Since ANW is such a concrete format you'd never get away with that or there would be Hell to pay. It's just getting to the point where 12 weeks of qualifying has gotten ridiculously monotonous, and while there are still enjoyable aspects (especially for us!) it's hard for NBC to expect the casual fan to watch 12 weeks of the same course. I think you have to throw in special episodes or drag out Vegas for this to survive in the long run.
So if you did something like this: May 30: 2015 recap, 2016 preview June 6: Regional A June 13: (Preempt for hockey) June 20: Regional B June 27: Regional C July 4: (Preempt for fireworks) July 11: Regional D July 18: Regional E July 25: Regional F August 1: "Best Of"/Vegas preview August 8: Vegas 1st Stage A August 15: Vegas 1st Stage B August 22: Vegas 2nd Stage August 29: Vegas 3rd/Final Stage September 5: USA vs. The World
And hey, The Voice gets an extra week. They have better ratings than ANW anyway. Plus 2 of the 15 (1 less than I thought) weeks are getting preempted so 6 regions is going to be IMPOSSIBLE next year unless they plan on pushing The Voice into October. ANW is going to get clobbered by Monday Night Football in September and that's horrible news if they plan on putting the final round up against that.

But now that I think about it, considering he got the #1 spot in the City Finals, I'm surprised they didn't show Geoff Britten's qualifying run.

My argument is we should see the top 30 then they show the run for the top 15 instead of the long gap between the qualifying and the city runs on TV heck I wondering if they do a Monday Tuesday of the qualifying then the cities if that would not help the ratings.
