I wonder how Kristine Leahy is in comparison to Jenn Brown.

But it wasnt impossible and there is no time limit. 30 competitors, only 10 people made it to the extended course, 11 didn't clear the 6th obstacle. Only 1 person cleared. In qualifying out of 124 competitors only 7 people cleared the 5th obstacle. There is something wrong with the course... And a Sasuke never had a worse result? Just looking for any reason to complain about the competition. If there were 100 elite competitors there would have been a better result.

Thanks guys I appreciate the support. I'm really sorry, since I'm under NDA I can't say anything about the last couple of nights or confirm/deny anything. If there's one thing that was good about Venice it's that we had wonderful weather!

Is Evan Dollard and Beast McGrath in another region? It was mentioned earlier in the topic that James McGrath is. No idea on Evan Dollard, or if he's even competing.

and this region probably has some of the strongest competitors in it too . Good luck to the rest of the regions! May the RNG god of crappy obstacles be in your favour and give you a ring toss instead of a leg breaking obstacle that is supposed to test your arms...

The last obstacle sounds pretty cool I am curious to see it in action but it seems like by the description it was designed by a sadist.

[EDIT] EH?! Brian broke his leg?! Holy... I don't even remember a time in SASUKE someone broke a bone... ANW is really risky as of... well... now... recover swiftly Brian... One of the most notable bone destructions in Sasuke would be Sasuke 27, ironically enough to a competitor from ANW (Drew Drechsel). Also if I remember correctly Takeda broke his shoulder in his Pipe Slider in 12. These are off the top of my head, so Sasuke isn't immune to this kind of thing either. Oh yeah I forgot those 2. But we can mostly agree ANW is a bit more prone to injury after this one... the tilting table especially...

So much for NBC wanting higher ratings. LOL If the casual viewer sees all of those things it's not going to be in the long run for the health of the show. What's the point if either they are injured and can't go to Vegas or can't pass the obstacle and still not go to Vegas? I understand people wanting the show to be "difficult" but the bitchstorm last year was the course was considered impossible and thus not a point to watch. So if they are already starting in Regionals I can't imagine the shitstorm that will happen in Vegas... provided anyone of quality manages to hobble in there injury free. This is supposed to be an entertainment show.. not UFC.

If Kacy fails the qualifiers this will be the last season of ANW. Calling it right now.

Honestly it could potentially bode well for NBC to have that "untouchable" association attached to Ninja Warrior right now because they could probably look to make the course easier come Olympics summer season. Sort of combat the global competition of top tier athletes with athletes deemed to be more relatable to casual viewers as game show Olympians.

So thats the logic about having such a high prize, make it impossible so they never have to give it away But yea, this is starting to get ridiculous now, the drive for ratings is to make things new and make you go , which this has done to all of us and we will probably all tune in to see this. But it still sucks. Remember the days when the rope swing was the 2nd obstacle and people were complaining that was too unfair *Sigh*

In hindsight I REALLY agree with that

LOL I've beaten this dead horse quite a bit. Whoever is doing the ratings will see it themselves this year if the risk they are taking by making the competitors expendable is worth it. Honestly the allure for me with Sasuke was the competitors and not the obstacles anyway. I just feel bad for those who are no longer important because the obstacles are now the star of the show. I just hope they don't maim anymore people in their pursuit of the ratings. I'm curious if Wipeout going directly against it is what is making ANW go all out on the obstacles. Considering the furor over the considerable difficulty raise from Regionals to Vegas I thought they would have learned that people stopped watching when it was impossible. The illusion of anyone being able to pass it is what gave them the highest ratings so far and that was a few years ago now. Either way, ya'll know my opinion on it. I just hope they the rest of the regionals don't hurt anymore of you guys. Good luck out there and be extra careful.
