About Brian Arnold I understand his strategic decision to go early on stage 2 was completely understandable and I could clearly tell he wasn't show boating or being obnoxious when he did that. But after he failed stage 2 he was acting a but selfish and not a good sport. I obviously know he was disappointed in not clearing the course but he could've handled it better. After he failed he was pouting for a good while after and was not there to cheer on some of his fellow wolf pack members. But either way he is still one of my favorite competitors and next year I think he has a great chance at going to stage 4 along with Issac Caldiero if they just don't make any petty mistakes like this year.
Enough about Brian, the course this year was definitely not optimal
Stage 1: the silk slider sucked, the landing was way too small.
The jumping spider is too hard, it's way to far away compared to sasuke's jumping spider. If it was close people like kacy cantonzaro could've advanced to stage 2 and people would've loved to see her compete, and I personally think she could've done well.
Stage one is supposed to be relatively easy the silk slider should be replaced with something more interesting and easier. Then fox the jumping spider and stage one would be set after that.
Stage 2: Rope jungle was a bad obstacle in my opinion the fact that there were some ropes that were faulty and would fall out was ridiculous. The first obstacle of stage 2 has never been very difficult and the rope jungle would be ok if there were only stationary ropes or only sliding ropes. In my opinion it sucked. And it took out some japanese guys in USA vs the world. Enough about the rope jungle.
Butterfly wall was ok but I think it should be a stationary wall that doesn't spin. And also a better run up and maybe a little lower for the short guys.
Metal spin landing was bs it should've been closer just like everyone said.
Stage 3: cannon ball grasped was stupid. Asa got short changed on that.
Floating boards are really boring and annoying I think. They should replace it with something more interesting like devil steps or globe grasped or curtain grasper.
The spider jump lost its ledge which was dumb.
Other than those things I said anw6 was a pretty good course.
