I like these. What's the hot seat? They had 15 chairs (one was red). The first 15 runners were seated in order, and as other runners came off, they were slotted into the seating order based on their time, with the last place guy in the red "hot seat". That way we always knew who was on the cusp of elimination I suspect this was removed because it meant they couldn't really shuffle runs around for TV. Maintaining continuity must be much harder when you have to be accountable to shots of the contestants that already ran. They shuffle runs around for TV (no sarcasm)? Man, the SSL seems like the DSL on steroids.

Because I haven't shut up about it yet, I'd dump the Silk Slider for next year's Vegas. I would do Stage 1 like this:
Piston Road Rolling Log (the Sandan version -- the one with the drops) Circle Slider Jumping Spider Half-Pipe Attack Warped Wall Spin Bridge Tarzan Rope + Rope Ladder (Final Climb)
No adjustments to the obstacles and aside from the Silk Slider the rest of the course was fine. I would drop the Giant Ring as well because it just does nothing for me personally.

I would like for them to remove the spinning bridge and put the hedgehog in it's place.

What would I change? Hire actual archivists and stop relying on interns to properly document achievements so that they don't look like idiots when they retcon their own history.

I'm liking the idea of letting the contestants know how much time they have from the beginning.

Only one person has gone out on it so far, so it's safe to say that the obstacle has been "figured out"

Judging from the ratings, ANW finally seems to have a pretty reliable core audience. They should start focusing on drawing in new people. Towards that end, I think having a few celebrities on there couldn't hurt. I'm not saying go full-on "Celebrity Apprentice", but maybe having a few name actors, musicians, and such could draw in a new audience. I mean, they've had a few low-level celebs, but to me, the only ones I recognized were Kim Lyons (because I used to watch Biggest Loser) and Bull Bullard.
If they could get some NFL people in there, it would help. ANW films during the off-season, yes?

get rid of akbar and bring in a new co-host alongside matt every year. akbar has had 2 years and 2 world specials now, far more than any previous co-host
do more cross-promotion with / mentions of sasuke in japan
send a team of 3 to 5 americans to sasuke 31 based on the previous ANW season
fix the cargo nets and allow competitors to go over again, fix the jumping spider and make it so smaller competitors don't have to go as deep, make the jump to the butterfly wall more reasonable, move on from the ultimate cliffhanger to the crazy cliffhanger

You know the ultimate cliffhanger, the crazy cliffhanger you have to do 3 ledges then do a jump, 180 spin, and grab a 4th ledge.

Even when ANW finally does copy the real Crazy Cliffhanger, they'll probably water it down like how they've watered down the ANW Ultimate Cliffhanger, by making the ledges over 2 inches deep.

3) Make the Wall Lifting walls much heavier. (For all of the bragging that ANW does about supersizing obstacles, I don't know why they haven't supersized this one. I'd consider bumping every wall up by 40-50 pounds.) 106, 148 and 150 pounds, that sounds possible (said no one)
