Maybe instead of doing the wildcards, they do it in SASUKE fashion, inviting back everyone who passed the First Stage. Wouldn't work, the majority of stage one clears go back to the finals in ANW usually

Keep them. I like to see some of the more fun or interesting characters get a second chance, especially since there's no chance they're going to beat it.
But I don't want to hear any complaints about "legit" athletes getting passed over as wildcards. All you had to do is complete the courses, and you failed. If you get picked, take advantage of it. If you don't, oh well, you failed anyway. It's similar to a combat sports fight: don't leave it in the hands of the judges.
Qualifiers are a big part of the show, so I'm fine with the "joke" or celebrity runners being there. They don't need to be in the finals. You don't have to make ANW exactly like Sasuke down to every single detail.

But I still am not a fan of wildcards.
