Yeah, that definitely look like it hurt.
One wipeout that I thought was crazy was Diana Pickler, the heptathlete in Kunoichi 7, flipping over the Log Jam but somehow holding on - until that is her foot hit the water and she was forced to let go.

Bunpei's fall off of the Balance Tank looked painful. I remember cringing when I saw him hit his head. Ouch! But Iremember one competitor who fell on the 2nd stage Spider Walk and fell and hit the landing platform before falling into the water. I think he bruised a kidney or something. Anyone remember that one?

From memory, I don't think so, depends on which competition. The one that might come to mind is the swimming instructor Kenichi Arai in Sasuke 10, who was the only one to fail the 2nd Stage out of those that made it there. Might it have been him?

Are you talking about Kane Kosugi in Sasuke 7when he didn't have any more strength to prop himself between the redesigned Spider Walk and he slipped and hit the ground a little bit on the way down? If so, then yes that looked pretty painful. But, I didn't know that he bruised a kidney.

It could have been Kosugi but not sure. Whoever itwas, it was pretty darn painful.

Yeah, I'm not sure either, but the bruising of the kidney thing sure has to be painful!
Does anyone else besides me think that the American in 11, Donny Clark Kerry, had something of an awesome wipeout from the Jump Hang?

I could tell too, but the way he nearly emptied the water was what was awesome IMO.
Yes, he was the one with the ponytail that also showed off tricks with a yo-yo.

I saw Sasuke 3 again and I forgot about the first competitor fell 'awkwardly' while trying to cross the Balance Bridge. He would have been singing high notes for a while...

Ain't that the truth. I saw it again Thursday night, and it's still one of, if not THE, worst wipeouts I've ever seen. It's no less painful each time you watch it, that's for sure.
You can't forget about a fall like that....*cringe*

Yamada (k) Going Split Legged on the balance tank in 12. That was 11. 12 was when he was disqualified for wearing gloves all throughout the 2nd Stage.

Hmm. I don't recall anyone else suffering that kind of blow. Konuki and Yamada's wipeouts, physically speaking, have to be the most painful in the history of the show.

Is that when you get hurt then recolor the course? But yeah, Kunuki Taro (I still don't know if I am spelling that right) was the military guy who hit his balls on the yureru hashi (balance bridge) in Sasuke 3
