7 Obstacles in Stage 2? So either there's a new one we don't know about, or the modified Spider Walk counts as two like in the early days.

The article mentions a "Spider Drop" for the 2nd Stage when talking (I think anyway) about new obstacles (it also mentions the Lumberjack Climb for the 1st Stage and the Drum Hopper for the 3rd).

Yeah I think the case is the Spider Walk and Spider Drop counting as two obstacles, really it's the same stage with an extra panel and a fair backstream.
Also a bit pissed I'm going to miss the Navi and the live broadcast, out of town this weekend and probably have to work since it's a thursday morning...

Btw (provided Proboards actually records this post.. LOL) There will be a live commentary during Sasuke on Nico Nico. This is NOT a simulcast. It will just be Kikuno (Producer), Inui (Director), Shingo, Ryo, Kanno and some talento. ( Page details here) Obviously the entire thing will be in Japanese and if anyone has ever seen Nico Nico.. words just go across the screen. Usually you can't see anything. LOL Will be interesting though seeing all of them sit down and do live commentary during Sasuke. This is a first! If i got it correctly, the direct page to sign in (if you have an account) is here. You can see it if you have an account and I think if you are premium you can see it in HD. Unsure if there a lockout for the amount of people that can be signed in. IMO only worth it if you know Japanese since they will just be speaking.

Or what is said in the post above me. Inui, Kikuno (the producer), Hitoshi Kanno, Ryo Matachi, Shingo Yamamoto and Shimon Okura will be doing a broadcast on Nico Nico while the show airs, adding their own commentary to what is going on. There will also be a pre-show and after-show. sp.live.nicovideo.jp/gate/lv184087505

If you have a premium account, you may be able to timeshift the event but I'm not entirely sure.

I'm not sure if this should go here or somewhere else. Mods, feel free to move this if it should be posted somewhere else. A Facebook page called "Another Life" posted something about Shingo. It mentions Sasuke 2014 and Shingo's perfect attendance. I'm not sure what else is being said. Maybe someone (looks at Ube) can translate this. Shingo

It's a profile piece about Shingo. There are going to be some more in the coming days (7 total, I believe) about SASUKE participants. an-life.jp/home/

I understood the gist of it. Shingo was good at running and jumping when he was in middle school, and he wanted to do track and field. His middle school didn't have a track and field team, though, so he played basketball. He participated in a district-wide track and field event, and won. He came in third in a city-wide event. He got an offer from a private high school after that. In high school, he did track and field. When he graduated, he considered training for the Olympics, but eventually decided against it.
Instead, he went to a vocational school and became a mechanic. He started working at the gas station. When he was 23, he got a call from TBS (I'm not sure exactly how they found out about him. I think he was still doing track and field at the time, so maybe that's why they knew about him). They invited him to Sasuke. He thought it was a prank call and hung up. They called him right back. He realized they were serious. And the rest is history.
Ube might be able to give a more accurate translation, but that's what I understood from the Google translation.
