I've been looking around on the forums and on the internet, but I'm can't find where you can apply to Sasuke Japan. I saw Shinya Kishimoto's submittion videos including the one for Sasuke 29, so there must be somewhere you can do so. Can anyone please help me out?

You can't. NBC Still holds the reigns to the American entries but they find ANW more important so in the process all American entries are locked out. Until they change how the foreign entries are gained we are pretty much screwed. It has been like this for 2 years now.

So then, how on earth did Dodd and Lobeck compete in 28? I have a good feeling TBS will invite few Americans maybe every OTHER tournament. There were NO Americans in 29 because it was specifically a Japanese-themed tournament!

Dodd and the Lobecks got invites. We've been over this.

Dodd and Lobeck were selected by NBC as representatives for reasons unknown. Inui has confirmed that NBC has decided not to cooperate and Americans will no longer be welcome in SASUKE (IIRC).

Would an American who got Japanese citizenship be allowed to compete in SASUKE?

The no Americans rule applies to people who are currently residents of the United States of America. Since there are (or there are planned) versions in other parts of the world like Europe and parts of South East Asia, people who live in those areas are similarly going to be limited to their local version. If someone from some far flung country that has no version of the show wants to apply they can try but whether or not they get accepted is a different matter (although I'd lean towards no unless there are some extraordinary circumstances).
Foreigners (not just Americans) who participate in SASUKE are either invited (in the past pro athletes from several countries have been on the show) or are currently living and working or studying in Japan. Being in Japan on vacation is not same thing.
That's how it was when M9 was running the show. Things might be different now that TBS is the sole owner. Also, the last show was specifically for the ASEAN Cup so for that reason all the competitors were Japanese.

I'm a bit confused as to how NBC is controlling American entries to Sasuke. TBS owns the liscensing and trademarks for the show, so shouldn't they have the final say. What would stop TBS from sending an invite to a competitors (regardless of where they are from) and asking them to compete? From what I found looking around, it seemed like M9 accepted American entries?
Hypothetically, if I wanted to apply, is there some sort of formal application (let's pretend I'm not from America and am a resident of somewhere else like Japan)? There has to be some way of applying because I have seen sasuke 29 entry videos (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uA0LzR-Id0U).

TBS just got full control from M9 a couple of years ago after M9 went bankrupt. However TBS still has a license agreement to collect royalties for ANW which NBC owns. If they sever the relationship with TBS they lose the royalty money from NBC/Comcast. M9 is gone.. has been for 2 years now. They liquidated assets and are now history.
When/if Sasuke 30 is announced we will read the application rules when they come out. They have been different the past couple of years. Sasuke 28 EVERYONE had to go through the application process (including Yuuji) because the new production team was just hitting the reset button. Sasuke 29 was complicated by the inclusion of Sasuke ASEAN Open Cup (held in November). Now we have to wait to find out if Sasuke 30 has been green-lighted and what will happen with entries. We don't know what's going on other than NBC boycotting Sasuke because it tarnishes ANW's run on NBC. NBC sees ANW bigger than Sasuke so they don't need them anymore. TBS has to be careful who's hand they bite when producing their show. If you want to blame anyone.. blame Comcast/NBC.

I totally feel you man. As a 14 year old who has been prevented from competiting because of my age and after seeing the promotion and labeling that NBC put on Ninja Warrior which has distorted the integrity of Sasuke, I am not a fan of what they have done. Part of the reason I ask, is because I would like to be able to let other less knowledgeable ninja warrior fans (especially those that are underage) still have a chance to compete and know how to do so. I guess I'm just looking for somewhere where the Japanese competitors apply and perhaps somewhere to check to see if and when Americans can apply. Do you have a specific site (link) to go to for all application related info both for Japanese competitors looking to apply and Americans to check if they can somehow apply?

All that information has been posted whenever it's available and easily accessible around the world. They post it on TBS' main Sasuke site when it's active (it has been the past 2 tournaments). Each has had their own way of applying so have to wait until/if they post Sasuke 30's requirements and entry restrictions. For the record I'm not at ALL happy with the situation. Just trying to divert my hate to Comcast for really screwing things up not just for entries but for worldwide distribution. Heck. I'd even settle for domestic showing of Sasuke 28 and 29 right now but we know that isn't going to happen anytime soon.

I looked around TBS's site and their English site, but I was unable to find the Sasuke site. Could you post a link here.

I feel like I answered this question before, but finding the right post in the forum can be difficult sometimes I guess. Anyways, if you're in Japan, applying for Sasuke is fairly straight forward when the time comes. I've applied to two and you basically fill out an online application form with loads of questions. As a note, I live and work in Japan and know that the application is in Japanese only and I would assume that answers must be in Japanese as well. At the trials, no one working for TBS speaks any language other than Japanese, so you really have to have well polished Japanese to get through the process. Guests are not allowed to enter the premises so a translator would not be allowed to accompany you neither.
As everyone else has said beforehand, if you apply from outside of Japan your application is most likely going straight into the trash. Politics aside, it's fairly impossible to have a successful application and qualification for the show if you reside outside of Japan unless you happen to have nothing to do and buckets full of money. You're not really informed of the trials until like a week in advance and the notice for the actual show's taping is fairly last minute as well, so there are simple logistical issues with applying from overseas beyond the politics. There is no such thing as them seeing an amazing kid on paper and taking you straight onto the show and giving you lots of notice so you can get a plane ticket and accommodations ready. Even people in Japan pay for their own transportation and hotel costs with little notice.
Basically, as long as you reside in Japan, you're free to apply regardless of nationality. You just fill in an online application and submit photos or a video if asked. Just note that it's easy to apply, but after that everything gets eye wateringly complex.

Did you read the entire thread? Probably not. He's used to selectively reading what he wants. He glossed over the fact that it's a new crew creating new rules.. thus the WHOLE point of this entire thread. /facepalm

For once.. stop and THINK if a) it has alraedy been answered and b) you actually have relevant information. It is not necessary to input conjecture in a post where concrete answers are wanted. If it's boring to you DON'T POST IN IT.. /frustrated
