In the Sasuke 21 Trials, I remember seeing an American (Casey Cummings)! On top of all the other info about trials already said in this thread, and the fact that was Monster9 who no longer exist, you do realize he was living in Japan at the time right?

This is why I hate NBC with a passion. They need to stop Americanizing shows and let the originality stay where it's at. Unfortunately, it's all about the money.

My dad works for a company that is based is Japan and though he works mostly in China, he will go there on vacation. I know (as it was mentioned before) the vacationing to Japan is not the same things as living and working there, but would that possibly help my chances. Assuming I could also get some sort of technological translator or somehow be able to communicate?
I guess what I'm really getting at is whether or not it is at all possible for me to compete on a version of Sasuke before I am 21 and elligible for American Ninja Warrior. I have no way of knowing if the show will still be around and even if the chances are super SUPER slim, I would still like to at least know if there is a possibility seeing as athletes younger than me have competed on Sasuke.

Given the situation you are describing.. the answer seems to be "no". So far at least. We honestly don't know the schedule and what rules change they will announce. It's honestly a mystery until they announce anything then we all have to read the fine print and find out like everyone else.

So then, how on earth did Dodd and Lobeck compete in 28? I have a good feeling TBS will invite few Americans maybe every OTHER tournament. There were NO Americans in 29 because it was specifically a Japanese-themed tournament! so what if i bumped back old forum?

It amazes me at how much information about Sasuke is kept hidden from the public. It's a rigged game you know. Completely politically influenced. This has been the case for American shows for many years. You can't watch a fair game on TV in USA. And Sasuke wasn't always that way. But today it is. It became increasingly influenced by politics after its growing popularity around the world. And for profit's sake, the statistics have to be controlled. To do that, it must be determined how many win or lose. Not just that. But its "how" they win or lose that matters because that influences viewers. An example is seeing Nagano fail his a** off. And in Japan, they will no longer tolerate an American winning the competition. How do they stop it? The same way they stop anyone from winning a stage. They grease up certain areas between runs. The last show with Americans had one participant complaining about a rope slip. He felt a greasy texture on his hands after he hit the water. On the episode, you see his surprise and his look of "WTF?" while checking out his hands. He actually spoke out about it afterwards. But that was edited out and shunned. The warped wall has been made slippery many times, including last year when Nagano couldn't make it no matter how hard he tried. The All Stars are being conspired against. It isn't because the stages are harder. It is because of the desire to roadblock the older and wiser competitors. Instead, they are opting for the younger and dumber "patsies" that lust for personal fame and show drama in front of a camera. The same crap we see in Hollywood every day.
Japan is becoming a freakshow altogether. And anyone who think Sasuke isn't rigged, they aren't very smart. Else they are living in denial. Face the facts. Ninja Warrior as it once was in DEAD.

If you look very closely at Nagano's sasuke 12 final stage run (with an inverted camera and greyscale picture quality) you can clearly see George Bush stamping on Nagano's hand as he was about to get Kanzenseiha. Why, you might ask? Well, you see Bush wanted Nagano to get Kanzenseiha 5 years after 9/11 because 5x130 + 16 is clearly 666. Satanism obviously.

All his talk of Global Warming and trying to get people to make a change was just to change the climate enough to cause rain on that night, he was payed off by Higuchi to ensure no foreigners would win his show

Speaking of balls (or dome steps), remember Levi's creepy number switching shenanigains in 25? Rumour has it that Obama was trying to promote African American rights. Obama knew word would get out that whites are cheating scumbags (as capitalized by this episode). Obama told Levi he'd get a cookie by swapping his number. The producers agreed because anybody who hates whites is a friend to them. Thus came the rise of the coloured empire.

Got some further clarification on what's going on with Sasuke in the near future. As usual these are subject to change but as of right now I can now categorize this. - Foreigner living/working in Japan - can apply to Sasuke though TBS and qualify through Sasuke Trials. (that's now back to how it was before)
- Foreigner living/working outside of Japan - Cannot apply directly through Sasuke (that hasn't changed since G4 monopoly/M9 days)
- Foreigners going through Ninja Warrior Europe (so far) will have their champions go to Sasuke Japan.
- Foreigners going through Sasuke ASEAN Open Cup (which is expected to be a yearly event) will have their champions go to Sasuke Japan.
- Foreigners going through Sasuke ASEAN Open Cup (including SOME Americans) - all foreigners willing to fly to the event can go through the qualifying event (which will be a designated day).
- . As of yet it is unclear if they win will continue to Sasuke Japan. I'm assuming yes given the next item...
- Americans starring in ANW will not be allowed to participate in Sasuke in any form. NBC holds the rights to them since ANW is considered sole property of NBC now and is not affiliated in any way with Sasuke Japan.

One thing that was stressed though.. non-star Americans (or those who never entered) can still use ASEAN as the springboard in if they are willing to go out there on their own. It's just the politics behind the connection to ANW that's getting in the way. I'm just as frustrated and they know we are.. however that's the reality of the current situation and it doesn't seem that will ever change anytime soon if ever.

While it stinks that we probably won't see any recurring Americans competing in Japan anytime soon (if ever), at least we'll be able to have several representatives from various other nations going to SASUKE Japan to compete on a regular basis. Although I understand why this would be thought up (they want to limit the amount of foreigners, especially with so many international spin-offs like ANW, so there can be more room for "average" Japanese competitors like the show was originally meant to be for), I do wish that they would still send the top 2 or 3 guys from each ANW. Sure, they could travel to compete in ASEAN, but that's a time and money hassle/no guarantee of even making it to SASUKE Japan. To be honest, it almost seems like a subtle means of restricting Americans from competing in Japan, as other countries' SASUKE spin-offs can still send their top representatives for the time being. Personally, I hope they modify the ANW category (in favor of what I mentioned above) in the near future.
On a side note, where did you get this information from arsenette? Inui? If so, it seems to hint to us (but not necessarily confirm) that there will be a SASUKE 30.

Yeah.. hard to say outwardly where most of this information is from however it is who you think it is and I'll leave it at that. Can't say much but I can actually discuss that there will be more Sasuke events so long as the spin offs continue in popularity. That at least put my mind at ease. It's not to say there aren't any problems with Japan's Sasuke in Japan but the days of zomg it's going to be canceled are no longer around. It's more zomg no more spin offs because that's what is keeping Japan alive atm. Times have drastically changed on that. Dates and whatnot for all of these events in detail are still not public as things can change.. heck look what happened to announcing ASEAN to be November only to see it move last second. So for now they are only announcing stuff when they have all of their ducks in a row. All are going to happen though so that is a definite for Sasuke 30+ As for the USA problem.. blame NBC. Simple as that. For once i can't fault TBS on this issue.. the problem was originally created between M9/G4.. then it got worse after both went down the drain.

So anyone who wants to compete in the ASEAN Cup, regardless of if they have a spin-off in their area, can try to go through qualifying? Seems to be a bit against the whole idea of what the ASEAN Cup event was supposed to be, right? Edit: The original press release did have "and from around the world" and we knew that Japan and Taiwan were going to be represented. If that is how it's going to be, then I hope TBS doesn't waste time sending anyone there to actually compete (sending them for PR is fine) because it means that for everywhere except the US, the Japan show is now THE show.
I don't think people competing in ANW will be able to compete in the ASEAN Cup without harming their chances of appearing in ANW.
And just to save people time: living/working in Japan does not mean coming here on vacation for a month.
