Wait... the first picture doesn't make any sense... The chairs are not on that side of the UCH. Maybe there are competitors BEFORE the line-up we know in the Third Stage and those are seats for even MORE Second Stage clears?? Also, I think that's Carlos in the second picture.

Maybe they moved the chairs? I dunno, we've had that pic for ages...
And I don't think so, when they showed the close up from the side (I couldn't get a good pic) it didn't look like him. Besides, unless he hasn't been in the sun since 26, he has darker skin doesn't he? Also maybe not good evidence but why the blank shirt instead of a Muscle Musical shirt?

I just don't want the ebay winner to fail so epically. I always found it kind of weird that the competitors are on the flipside of the UCH... that means they don't get to watch?? You could be right, maybe the chairs were only there when testers were showing the obstacles, which would make sense for the caption of the picture (saying the tester had finished his job). Also, considering the tester DID pass the UCH, that would explain the chalk further on the last ledge.

that does not look like okuyama who is about to attempt the jumping rings, looked at the pic very closely you can see the person is wearing tracksuit bottoms not shorts and looks like a certian someone but we will just need to wait till 3rd october to find out who it was it looks more like nagano than okuyama to me

It's been said before, but it bears repeating. OMG, Ryo Matachi passes stage 1! Finally, an UNCLI besides Yuuji passes stage 1! Whoo-hoo!

That's probably what I'm looking forward to most when Sasuke airs. I fully intend to holler and cry tears of joy. Ryo's performance is definitely woot-worthy. Now, we need to somehow convince M9 to invite Keita.

As for the "best of last year is #100" that may have been me who said that but it was probably misstated on my end. Probably should have said, the better you did the higher the number typically. So yea 100 isnt anyone specific that I shall mention.

I think I know who is between David and Paul on the chairs for Stage 3:
I was watching SASUKE 26 again and after Ishikawa clears you can see Tajima in the background. Then it hit me: Generally same haircut Same clothes (white shirt, black shorts)
Number wise it would fit and it makes sense if he got there.
Also, I think I figured out the REAL order for the Americans in 27: 1. David Campbell (#98) 2. Paul Kasemir (process of elimination and going by ANW3 broadcast: he was always second to last to go) 3. Brent Steffensen (you can see Travis failing while Brent is waiting at the start of Stage 2) 4. Travis Furlanic 5. David "Young Flip" Rodriguez (can be seen waiting at the start line during Stratis' run) 6. Ryan Stratis (can be seen giving Rosen a handshake, and by process of elimination, he should be here if the SASUKE 26 guys get first dibs) 7. Travis Rosen (can be seen waiting after James before Drew's run) 8. James McGrath (confirmed here that he was the third American to go) 9. Drew Drechsel 10. Jake Smith

I thought we only knew 3 besides David unless I missed something Sorry I meant 4 plus David? I think one of the vids had 4 of the numbers and one person said their number? I forgot who though. I meant for scnoi since he was putting up the list but only listed David's number while we know some others.

The stuff above was my evidence why I thought they got the order they did.

For the benefit of the thread though could you add it here since you already included David's?

For the benefit of the thread though could you add it here since you already included David's? Besides David being 98, IIRC Brent was 79, Ryan was 63, James was 57, and Drew was 54. Half down, half to go. BTW if they all seemed to have numbers this time maybe it was also true for ANW1 and ANW2? Because I even remember seeing some pic from ANW2 that showed someone Brian, David, or Shane holding up their number but blocked out (I'm thinking on G4's ANW2 part of their Facebook page but I'm not 100% sure). It would really cool if Travis F. could confirm some of this stuff since he was the only qualifier in all 3 ANWs if he'd be able to sometime.

To my knowledge this is the first time everyone got numbers. Seems they didn't overinvite this time and/or they got the exact 100 show up rather than in previous years they were off by a couple and as much as 5 extra participants in Sasuke 23. Again, iirc.

Yeah I just wasn't sure, like I said though it would be neat if we got someone who went in the previous ANWs to confirm this for us. Because not only am I curious but I also have a list with all of the clear numbers, and the guys who've cleared Stages 1 and 2 and qualified via ANW trials are the only ones I'm uncertain about including in there. Specifically, Travis F., Brent, and Paul from ANW2 (I'm skeptical to believe TBS's numbering of Brent and Paul in 26 since they "had" 61 and 62 when they didn't even go right after one another from what we know, and Travis wasn't even assigned a number on the broadcast whatsoever). Either way, I'm happy that all of them got one this time around, not only for my statistics but also for their benefits so they have a physical Sasuke souveneir.

Shane did tell me that he didn't have a number for one of the Sasuke's (offhand I can't remember which one and he's got such a horrible memory I don't dare ask ahahahahahha ) so they had them go in a clump in the 50's (I would assume that was 23 given by how he described it) so he was a bit bummed not everyone had a number but was still thrilled to have been there.
