Don't feel bad, I'll remember to join in with training when I find little girls with jump-ropes and to scratch my a** before attempting obstacles *runs* In all seriousness great run man, I knew you could make it to stage 3 when you finally made it, although I'm sure attempting in all 3 ANW tournaments gave you an edge knowing where to prepare on (The troubles with the ANW1 wall surprised me). Glad you could make it to stage 3. Although I was sure you had a good shot at the UCH training on David's course, you seem to have the reach to be able to clear the jumps

Referring to that last pic. What the hell were those white poles for? This pic? (Sorry Strat XD ). Those are rubber padding over cables, those cables are support to keep the Final Stage balanced. It's always been there and considering earlier this year, in Japan they want to be more careful to keep a giant tower like that secured

Lol, I hit that wooden landing spot HARD when I rolled off the RE. Should have just jumped lol. Not as smooth as Mr. 44 seconds but glad I was able to stumble through the first stage! The UCH was extremely difficult. I trained my grip but clearly not to the level of where it needs to be. I knew cardio was an issue from ANW 1 and 2 hence the increase with the jope rope work and parkour stuff. I was still able to maintain my strength needed for the remainder of stage 3 and 4 but just didn't focus on the UCH enough. I was half hoping since no one had passed it yet they may have changed it but that was my own fault for wishful thinking and lack of prep! Ah well lesson learned the hard way! Hope everyone enjoyed the show at least!

I just wish you guys were shown alongside everyone else is my beef. You did friggin' awesome for your FIRST TIME! I'm ecstatic for you!

Yeah, for a first timer making it through the first two stages with ease and making it half way through the obstacle everyone fears is a great run. Theres really no shame in failing the UCH.
But yeah... I hated how they edited it just to show the Americans and how it was dubbed but we sent a great team this year

Your performance was impressive, I just can't believe that nine out of ten Americans made it past Stage 1!

Personally, I loved the format. Besides fast-forwarding a few runs, I liked how each competitor was highlighted.
I've already shared this, but I like that the American competitors are featured in a separate broadcast. G4's broadcasts of Sasuke 19-22 were by far the least enjoyable to watch because it was impossible to feature the American competitors without nearly ignoring the Japanese/other foreign competitors. No offence to the American competitors, but EVERY commercial and return-from-commercial was "will *insert American* make it through the course." Furthermore, because the other competitors couldn't be ignored, I also felt that even the American competitors were being shortchanged.
IMO, all they need to do is simply mention that the American runs are being shown but that the Japanese competitors also ran that day. A few reaction shots would be nice as well. It's silly that they try to hide the rest of the competitors completely, but in the end, ANW is solely about the American competitors and their journey.

Well, people better enjoy how much they saw of the Americans this time. It's a guarantee that at least half of them will get the digest treatment during the 1st and 2nd Stages of the Japanese broadcast.

I just hope they show exactly the right amount and parts of the American's run to minimize Arsenette's displeasure over the whole "we're pretending the Americans were separate" thing for ANW.

Americans like David Campbell and Paul Darnell (hopefully) will be shown in full while many of the others who failed the second stage will be cut. However, if there is a large number of clears like many people expect, it's not going to be only the Americans who are cut. It seems that for Sasuke 26 (which was very poorly edited IMO), they simply didn't pace the broadcast very well and as a result were forced to cut the unknown competitors in favor of fully showing Hashimoto, Lee, and Okuyama. Remember, it wasn't just the Americans that got cut- Kanno and Kenji were cut too (in a fail montage set to music if I remember correctly ). Even if all the Americans' runs are shown in full (which they won't be), it could never compare to the detail and attention given them on ANW. I really like ANW just for the fact that you truly get to know the competitors. I personally felt I was rooting for them way more than I would if they just appeared on the Japanese broadcast. David's UCH attempt was honestly the most exhilerating thing I have ever watched on Sasuke. Multiple times during the broadcast I was almost out of my seat. I know people strongly dislike ANW's format, but you have to admit that ANW allows you to really get into the competitors and their attempts like nothing else. And Strat, you made it to the UCH. There's no need to apologize. You've earned the right to bust your a** on any not-really-padded platform you please.

Or you could realize that SASUKE 26 was only two hours and thirty minutes as opposed to three hours (and beyond) for SASUKEs 17 to 25. There was no way they were going to satisfy anyone who had been conditioned to watching the (Japanese) show in the last five years.
Two hours to show ten competitors go three stages versus two and a half or even three to show 70 or so (because we never see the full 100) go three and beyond.
