HOLY s*** NO I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS! I feel stupid for not knowing.
Please tell me Satou Dai is working on this though... Pocket Full of Rainbows was a terrible reimagining, AO just caused more confusion than anything (Real shame considering it started out like it was trying to tie in and then by the end it's like the writers never even really payed attention when watching the original and just like "Uhhhm... Sure close enough..."), the Manga isn't terrible (I'd say best spinoff of it) but the series was better. I'm just really really hoping Satou Dai is working on this so I'm not severely disappointed again

We just found out tonight. LOL I saw William post it on my Twitter feed and immediately thought of you. Seems AO isn't being redone.. it's the original with the original cast. I'm sure if you look for information within the past 2-3 hours you will find it. It's still hot off the press. ♥ Edit: ANN just posted an article.

Well, kind of disappointed about the fact it's retelling movies with some more added but seeing the staff involved oh thank f***, IT SHOULD BE GOOD!
Also f*** AO being redone, it's better off just leaving it as something that happened without the original creator and just fades away to non-canonical BS like Dragonball GT

Been reading the comments of a few articles on it and EVERYONE is saying they hope they just ret-con AO.. LOL AO can just f*** off entirely, at first it almost seemed like it could be a cool thing and even showing the events before the main series showing the Scub Coral first coming to earth... But no... they pull the stupid time travel s*** (which really I should have seen coming from the start considering who the main character is but whatever...) and they act like all of the Scub Coral that's on Earth in AO, is from the future... AFTER Koukyoushihen... so AFTER the Scub Coral understands earth and humanity and has the elightenment to peacefully coexist and not just cover the entire earth, but then suddenly decides to be invasive again... And somehow TypeZERO is no longer the control cluster (Also gee... in AO looks like a s*** ton of Scub Coral based life is showing up and oh wait now there's no control cluster... So how has the Limit of Life not been reached and just rekt the planet in a f***ing black hole? AO logic...). And that's just a mini rant off the top of my head about the biggest way AO tried to take a huge dump on the original... We'd be here for a long long long time if I covered all the inconsistencies, plot holes and incoherence to canon...

Not sure how many people here are Crunchyroll subscribers, but apparently CR has been reducing the bitrates of the "HD" streams (both 720 and 1080), to the point where people have been able to see pixelation in the image quality while watching. Apparently, it only happens after an episode/movie has been available for a day or two. If you watch within those first 24-48 hours, it's still good quality, then gets bumped down to potato quality.

First time for me to hear about that. Guess with me being a "free" member, for now, I haven't seen the issue personally, but I know that with my current net speed, it's not exactly THE best, but can still hold up well. Only times I've discovered any kind of vid issues was (for a couple of days) with Hulu when I was home. Elsewhere to watch Hulu, I had no problem.

I watch now on the VRV feed and I haven't noticed anything. Then again, I just got VRV and haven't been watching the most recent stuff. I'm sooooooooo far behind...

Why would you even use CrunchyRoll- if you watch it free the ads are atrocious, if you pay, it costs money.
Sites like Kissanime are way better IMO.

Want to keep getting anime shows and hopefully, second seasons. Already lost 2 major studios (Manglobe who did Samurai Champloo and Studio Fantasia who did Gunbuster), more could come. I'll use Kissanime for the EXTREMELY hard to find titles, otherwise I'm cool with the ads being short and now about as long as a minute 30 to 2 minutes like with Hulu.

Kissanime also has a bunch of ads and viruses. At least when I use Crunchyroll I don't get popups from my anti virus software saying that it quarantined a threat.

I just download subs, because streaming is terrible so why not get it no buffering and not have to worry about quality dropping

Because one is illegal and the other is not? Trying to explain that piracy is wrong to someone who doesn't see the difference is pointless.

I don't stream anime in general. It's horrible, especially when on a bad internet connection. Buffering is dumb. Ads are dumb. Low quality (even on their highest settings) still usually looks bad.
I do pay for CR since I have a moral compass, but I don't actually use it for watching. I dl it. That was in America. Now that I'm in Japan, none of those shows are available for me to watch on the website anyway. It's all blocked.

The only anime I truly had a hard time finding was the English dub of Bakuman. It had 8 episodes and the company that made it now does hentai, so I couldn't go to them. Hence, the Internet helped me find all 8.
