Since I don't see this anywhere, and I hope I'm posting this in the right forum... Well, David, I think your course just got featured on The Smoking Gun Presents World's Dumbest Thrillseekers on truTV (yes, it is a mind-numbing show, which is why sometimes I need to watch it, plus it is making good background noise while I update my computer). They showed clips of people on it, and of course the D-list celebs and comedians made fun of people wanting to be ninja warriors (not knowing why that term would be used). Plus, I think it is Ryoga Vee (it looked like his outfit) who gets caught up in the cargo net after the Pipe Slider (and, yes, they mocked that obstacle), and there was a clip of David mentioning getting caught that way in Japan. (sighs) Well, maybe G4 will appreciate some possible free publicity, even if Sasuke/Ninja Warrior wasn't mentioned by name specifically.

Wow I had completely forgotten about Worlds Dumbest.. it's been ages since I've seen it.. But was this the clip in question?
Also.. despite what you said and what ryoga said.. That's the Slider Jump, not the Pipe Slider

That's definitely one of the clips, the one they highlighted the most, and it was called the wrong name on the show as well (and I think I was in too much shock to catch the error, mostly because I was trying to be charitable and not get annoyed at some of the jokes because I know they don't know what was going on - thanks, Rider, for the correction <g>). They also showed David on the UCH (and mentioned it being in Santa Cruz, CA) - at first, when they started talking about it, I wasn't sure if it was folks training for Sasuke (since they just called it ninja training), until I saw the UCH replica.

It's as if it's a spoof or something; it is that horrifcally bad. Seriously, the jokes are on another level of terrible.

Reminds me of skits on VH1 making fun of things such as bad groups or what what to not do when you want to attract a woman... etc.

Some of them were funny. I chuckled at the "Aren't black nerds are cute" bit.

Wow, I mean I don't blame them for understanding what it is, but wow... were they completely off topic on some parts.

Well.. I don't think they knew what it was.. And if they're told "Ninja Warrior" you would think that it was actual Ninja stuff. Granted if we explained it's replicas of a game show in Japan they'd probably think we're even crazier but not the point...

I love World's Dumbest so it's cool to see Sasuke on there in some fashion....even if it means at the expense of others. But you think they'd try to obtain footage on the show, I mean they were able to for TNA (actual camera footage not from a fan) and that's a pretty big/mainstream wrestling company.

David, did the producers/whoever get permission from you to put that on their show?
I know it was put online, but I would be surprised if something like that could be ripped from the internet with no permission from the original poster whatsoever.

On his twitter, Ryoga said he was appearing on the show, so I imagine he was compensated for using his content. twitter.com/#!/RyogaVee/status/35883795160768513

Uh, yeah, actually none of us gave our consent to that and I'm a little upset by it now.

Shouldn't David get payed for them showing it? I mean, I think Ryoga should get some money, but it's David's course....

Well someone had to have sent in the video. TruTV wasn't there filming.
Whoever sent it in probably got paid something, but not much, you usually only get like a hundred bucks or something.

I'm a bit perturbed by that as well. That's very unprofessional sounding the way videos get selected. What about permission forms, etc? Maybe it's under some sort of "fair use" rule that since it's online, it's free for anyone to use??
Some random person must have seen it online and sent it in.
