I feel that Sasuke 19 was harder for its time, because this was a time where very few people, if any, were replicating the Jumping Spider, the Halfpipe Attack, or the Flying Chute. I believe if the top competitors today took on Sasuke 19's course at its time that many would fail the first stage. But there's no doubt that 26's second and third stages are harder. However, you need to pass the first to get to them, which is why I gave 19 a slight edge in terms of difficulty for its time.

Well I don't care because physically you are fresh when you run the first stage and gradually lose energy throughout the day. All four stages of Sasuke 19 aren't as hard as the new Third stage alone.

Yea that's what I was kind of getting at in my post. But it's just the way that I look at it. For instance, if nobody passed the first stage in a tournament and the other stages were monkey bars, I'd consider that tournament harder than something like 26 where there was a decent first stage, but the 2nd and 3rd stages destroyed competitors. It's fine if you look at it differently though. To each their own as they say .

The fact is, they still have to get through that second and third stage. Even if only 2 competitors beat the hard first stage, they'd have a better shot at beating monkey bars than the 10 that have to go through the hellish new 2nd and 3rd stages.
So if we look at the results in 19 and 26, you could make a case that 19 was harder because people didn't get as far, but if you're looking at it like "Which tournament is someone least likely to get total victory in" then 26 takes it hands down.

Yea, I guess. You make a good point. I think I'm looking at it results-wise instead of "who's less likely to achieve total victory in the given tournament" then. Plus, when I think of devastation, I think more of 19 than 26. The shock factor for 19 is still much greater to me than the shock factor for 26. There's no doubt that 26 was one tough tournament though.

I'm not sure why people are saying 19 was harder. The question says overall. Which one had harder first stage? Debateable Which one was harder overall? 26 hands down.

There were still less clears in 19, two and in 26 10 people cleared. Thats more than in tougher tournaments like 5, 6, 18, 20, 21, and 22.

When being asked wheter or not the first stage is harder on 19 or 26, that would be a good arguement. However, the question asks about the entire course. Although the results were worse in 19, it doesn't mean it was a harder first stage due to many other factors including competitors, obstacle experience, weather, etc. Also, 26's second and third stage (and probably final stage) are hands down much more difficult than 19's. So when looking at the entire course in general, 26 is tougher hands down due to the much tougher third stage (UCH, Swing Circle, Flying Bar, etc.)
EDIT: You gotta look at it as if the question was "Which tournament was someone least likely to achieve kanzenseiha in?" The answer in my opinion is 26. Yuuji pretty much beat the majority of sasuke 19 in the 24th.
