Just curious how many people here are actually hoping to go to Sasuke one day and try out the real course.
I would hope everyone knows I'm trying to go. ;D

As much as I want to go, I doubt it will even be on by the time I turn 21 And if it is, there's no way I'm qualifying through ANW, and it's not worth moving to Japan over. Oh well. I'll stick to playing around at Crabapple Park

granted it's still being shown in 3 years, then heck yes I'm trying.
I do train still, albeit less Sasuke centered training than before, but once I'm of age I will be for sure be at every ANW.

I definitely want to go! It is why I train. I entered in for ANW2, got accepted, but didn't have the cash to fly out to LA to compete as things fell through.
I do hope there's more opportunities through G4 or M9 if Sasuke survives.

I'd love to compete. I don't think I could get very far, since I don't really have a way to set up obstacles to train on, but I'd love to try it anyway. Actually, I'd just like to go see Sasuke, even if I didn't get to compete.

For me it's sort of a combination of the first 2 choices. I'd like to go, but in reality the chances of me qualifying through ANW is pretty unlikely, and even if I could Sasuke might not be around for 3 more years. So unless someone walks up to me and offers me a free, all-expenses-paid trip to an upcoming tournament, I'll just stick to training for the heck of it where I live. Whether I get to go or not, I still have a great time training for it and in the process having a ton of fun with the unique physical challenges that it presents. ;D

Ever since the first time I watched it, my first thought was "WANNA TRY!!" I do train still, albeit less Sasuke centered training than before, but once I'm of age I will be for sure be at every ANW. I look forward to meeting you and seeing what you can do on the course. Yes of course id want to go! Who wouldnt want to try it? How long until you can try? It says you're 27 on Youtube but I'm not sure how accurate that is. I definitely want to go! It is why I train. I entered in for ANW2, got accepted, but didn't have the cash to fly out to LA to compete as things fell through. I do hope there's more opportunities through G4 or M9 if Sasuke survives. DUDE, that sucks. Do you have your video still? I don't think I've seen it. But hey, look at it this way: I knew I wasn't going to be able to stay in L.A. for the finals, so I had no chance of going to Japan for Sasuke 26... yet I still blew the money to try out. Financial planning at its finest. Visit No way in hell can I compete.. LOL I'm at least honest about it 38's not very old. Just letting you know. Look at Jack Lallanne. He swam like 80 miles when he turned 80. I'd love to compete. I don't think I could get very far, since I don't really have a way to set up obstacles to train on, but I'd love to try it anyway. Actually, I'd just like to go see Sasuke, even if I didn't get to compete. Obstacles aren't everything. Levi raped the course in 20 and he had only found out about it like six months beforehand. I think you should try if you have the money. We need more girls. For ANW2, I remember there being two serious female competitors. That's all I saw. One of them did great (failed the jump to the Jumping Bars), but a few more couldn't hurt. For me it's sort of a combination of the first 2 choices. Even if it's just for ANW2. I worked at Walmart for a few months before the summer just so I'd have enough cash to fly out for a week.

I can't really answer this question. I would absolutely LOVE to go on Sasuke, but I don't train for it at all.

I honestly can say that Sasuke is an unhealthy obsession of mine lol but I dont really wanna fly out to LA just for anw. If i was there for other reasons or I had a week or so there for vaca, IM SO THERE. But right now, I have no cash and can't really get a job at the moment (not to mention im not 21 yet rofl). But honestly just being at anw is one of my dreams ya know? Not even competing. I dont think it is worth the money at the moment. Maybe at a later time when i have a decent job (assuming im still as fit as i am now and the show is still going).

Seems like a good investment to me.

The operative phrase there is "if you have the money." Unfortunately, I don't. I definitely could not afford to go to Sasuke, if I went through M9 (if they were still allowing that). Going through G4 wouldn't be as expensive, but I don't think I could afford even that. And I can't do that, anyway. I'm not old enough to go through G4; I won't even be 20 until February. If I was old enough and had the money, I would definitely try out! And yeah, you don't really have to train for most of the obstacles (except maybe things like the DSL or S. Kabe) you just have to stay in shape. I do martial arts (I promoted to black belt a few weeks ago) and that helps me stay in shape, although I need to lose a little weight right now. I really don't know how I'd do on the course. It would probably also depend on whether it was a fall or spring tournament. I would probably do better in the fall, because it would be warmer. I have tendonitis in my right shoulder, and cold weather makes it worse. I'd love to compete on Sasuke. If I was ever offered the chance to compete, I would. Even if I didn't do well, I would still have fun.

Yeah I'm 18, and I started watching Sasuke when I was 15 I believe... Which was 3 years ago. So fingers crossed it lasts for another 3 years!

Well, if you have so much time to wait, if you can, why not save up money and train what you can? There's always a way! It cost my girlfriend and I about $1,400 for the week we were there. We lived off about $45 worth of groceries from a nearby Walgreens and free breakfasts at our hotel. $1,400 isn't a lot of money, either. You have permanent tendonitis? Have you tried strengthening your shoulders? That should help provided it's not so bad that it's hindering your performance and it's not from some other condition (arthritis, etc.). All I can say is that even if you just go to ANW, the people and the course make it a wonderful experience. I regularly fight with several people on the G4 forums but we're all cool when we meet in person. It's great.

I really want to go, and have looked at possibilities of qualifying or being entered through my local broadcast station. However, while I train, I don't train for Sasuke, I train for my different sports and if I get the opportunity, I'd be interested to see how far that training can take me.

On topic: i chose #2. I would love to try it regardless of my state of fitness. i don't train & i guessed i will probably failed the log grip / pole maze or springboards / jump hang. However, i am willing to train 6 months for it if i get a wild card ( probably more like as a comedian than a serious athlete ). Even if i am fit, i estimate i will probably timed out the 1st stage. However, i am fantasing about pawning the S.Kabe. :-P ( i am allowed to dream, right? )

I am too lazy to train, but i think sasuke obstacles are fun. They are PLAY. ;D
