Yeah, gotta agree with that. Hopefully yuuji has a great tournment and can silence his critics. And of course Nagano is the people's champion - that's just plain obvious. The critics can shut their pieholes- what does Yuuji have to prove? Nothing! And by looking at the people's reaction on the streets of Tokyo, their 'champion' is Mr. SASUKE himself. So in other words....

He might be the most recent champion and im a fan of his too, but is he the most popular?, I don't think so, and sadly to alot of mardy people out there in Japan he is seen as a cheater over his boots in 24, and TBS made this worse. sad but true. I think out of everybody that watch 24, 0.5% of people even know of this accusation. I think the majority of Japanese TV viewers in general just didn't watch Sasuke 24, but alot more of them watched Sasuke 10, so they remember the people from 10, not 24.

What exactly was this accusation anyway? I haven't heard of this.

Yuuji had switched to Tabi boots before his Final Stage run and because he's a shoe salesmen, some Einsteins thought he had an unfair advantage despite the fact he had improved his rope climbing and everyone except Lee I think had the same boots on.

Kanno didn't deserve to be in 23's final cause he had no shirt therefore carried less weight in 3rd stage
I can make b******* accusations too

The accusation would never even be as notable as it is if some wise guy from TBS or M9 didn't acknowledge the accusation. Nothing came of it, but I mean not really the best way to treat your champion by noting to people idiots have the right to opinions (unfortunately).

Well the people who really paid attention and noticed that EVERYONE had changed boots to go up the rope in 24 didn't b**** Yuuji's shoes. Seems from what I heard was that Yamada complained about it.. TBS announcer mentioned it during his run and then people took that and blamed Yuuji for it. Then TBS brought it up again during Sasuke 25 using that as fuel to somehow taint his win and people didn't buy it. So they shut the hell up since he didn't break any rules and people got tired of the bitching that was totally unwarranted.

Still makes me Laugh Yamada brushing Yuuji off at Bug in MIKI and Yuuji has got the perfect payback hurting MISTER SASUKE in the most painful way he could - by beating the thing mister SASUKE Yamada dreams of beating but never will.

I don't really think anyone except Yamada cares TBH. Yuuji has always been very respectful towards all of the All-stars and I saw Nagano cheering a lot for Yuuji in 24. This competition is about sportmanship and comaraderie, so Yamada can pout and whinge all he wants...at home on his homemade obstacles and not at SASUKE. Sorry..he annoys me!

It might be useful to recall that wasn't the first time Yamada carried on about shoes. In Sasuke 18 (I think), Nagano made it across the bungee bridge without falling, and Yamada kept asking about what kind of shoes he was wearing? Uh...dude, it isn't entirely about the shoes.

Definitely a crazy Sasuke. It'll be interesting to hear what the ratings for it will be. Noato, Nagano, Yuuji, Yamada, Shingo, Kanno, and Kongu all going down in the first stage (plus the American dominance) probably made alot of people change the channel.

When I saw the result of the Americans for ANW2, I was expecting to see a ton of Stage 1 and 2 clears from the other competitors and at least one person beating the UCH. I guess the Americans were just total Sasuke machines this time around. This feels like a big wake up call to the Japanese for the next Sasuke.

My reaction : - I was so glad Iketani cleared. I thought I saw him on the DSL in the trailer and I was right. - Yamada, I was kind of expecting him to fail the JS after I saw him at the escargot. - Mr Octupus passed the first obstacle I lost the bet.. Ah. - I was so shocked when Kongu failed the escargot, almost screamed. Could not believe it. - For a second I really thought Lee was going to fail the first stage, but somehow he did it - Miyazaki fail was shocking. - Sato Hirmomichi, i thought he would fail the escargot but his fail was shocking also. At least he wasnt a combo breaker lol. - Yamamoto, well I did predict that but still was shocked. - None of the all stars even got past the JS, scary. - Nagano!!!!! Omg!!! I could not believe it. I was watching on riders stream and it was laggy so I saw him hit the landing, then the next frame was him falling off. Noooooo! - Urushihara wow what did he eat that morning? lol. Amazing save at the Escargot and the JS especially. He pulled a Yamamoto mistake on the HPA. - I couldnt believe Okuyama cleared the second stage, he needs to pick up his pace there!! And he was only Japanese person in Stage 3! - I thought the cliff hanger was going to be beaten but I was wrong . Lee had the best result again right?

This was my first time watching Sasuke live, and it was worth it. Lots of surprises and disappointments, and I'm LOVING the rolling escargot. It's just mesmerizing to watch.

I have a bad feeling that SASUKE 26 just sealed SASUKE's future.
4 out of 6 Third Stage competitors being American, almost every Japanese star failing the First Stage, and nobody especially flashy making it deep this time around. There is no way that will translate to ratings.
Other observations:
Yay for Iketani, I had a feeling that was him on the commercial, but cool nonetheless.
Same goes for Ishikawa, I knew he probably wasn't going to the Third Stage, but still a fine performance.
I can't believe Hashimoto failed the Metal Spin. That was quite literally the one obstacle I thought he couldn't fail.
And, my computer went nutty for about 5 minutes in the middle, so maybe I missed it, but did anyone see Tajima or Sato Jun? Kinda weird to omit half of the Shin Sedai if they weren't in that little block.
All in all, I thought it was a good SASUKE, not great. I like unpredictability, but that was just crazy in every aspect.

Agree but... ...you have to hand it to Okuyama! He fought UCH with all he had and so did Lee who was also admirable (though not Japanese)
