Just thought of something about the final stage using two clues. Clue 1: The new Sasuke mat game thing has a ladder for the Final Stage. Clue 2: In Yamada Katsumi's profile it showed him climbing a ladder with just his arms. So what if an arms only Ladder Climb then a Rope Climb IS the Final Stage? EDIT: Updated with pictures of the clues

Interesting idea, but I think that Yamada using a ladder is his way of training for the Devil Steps.

But what about the game though?
Although it is a bit suspicious that in the Final Stage shots there isn't a ladder, but a ladder is easy to set up, it could probably be set up in a few minutes, they do have a crane on site during the competitions if you've noticed.

Lol, where's SRW when you need him? He has "insider" info. Right now, all signs point to that as the Final Stage, but who knows, they could change it. They changed the Ascending Climb and Final Ring (at least the name for the latter) before anyone even attempted it.

Don't forget they took out the Climbing Bars to add a obstacle no one ever made it to and was a different (yet extremely similar) obstacle and modified and renamed an obstacle no one made it to (and gave it a deceiving name). And this topic hasn't mentioned the Skywalk yet (until now).

As for the game, it's entirely possible for the designers to just make something up for the game, so the real final stage isn't revealed.

After Sasuke 17, they showed 3 different ropes on the new Final Stage. But perhaps I was seeing things..

Let me lay that theory to rest once and for all (at least for this topic or if it gets so many pages it goes on and everyone forgets but you get the point). This is only CONCEPT ART shown at the end of Sasuke 17 to signify things to come, the purpose of it was more to show the destruction of the second final stage instead of showing off the third, they hadn't even come up with the Sasuke 18 course by that point The Final Stage does not have enough room to accomodate that final stage, I know those pictures don't show any ladder but like I said, a ladder is easy to put up and take down. Although good point about the final stage in the game, they may have seen that Final Ring picture that had a bad angle and thought the stairs and frame were a ladder like many people thought.

Don't forget the end of sasuke 20 creds when you can see the final rope and ladder, I asked Levi about it on facebook he said it was set up when they were looking at it there and he does know what it is but is not allowed to say what it was.
The fact the game based also based on the current course has it as a ladder and final rope confirms my suspicions even more thats what it is.
In 21 the ladder is actually in between the tower walls but leaning against the left one you can see it in some shots, but you really need to see it on tv to see it.
In 20 in that final ring shot the ladder is set up, and in 21 you can just see it leaned against the left wall of the tower and it goes up halfway, but you really need to see it on tv to see clearly.

I doubt that they would make it something other than 30 seconds. They want the Final Stage to be possible (not impossible but not easy), having it at 20 seconds would make it impossible and frankly stupid, while having it at 35 seconds or something would make it too easy to beat.

Honestly, if it's a ladder it'll be the easiest final stage to date.
Not only is it easier to climb a ladder than to spider climb, but it takes a lot less energy and upper body strength, so you won't be nearly as tired for the rope climb.

Well I was skeptical of a ladder but Yamada's profile made me think there might be some kind of arms only ruling.

25 seconds I reckon at a guess and you climb the ladder with arms only and then rope climb add the fact your fatigued from stage 3 despite the rest this is gonna kill your arms and back.
Is there anywhere you can obtain or play that game with the ladder rope climb pictures from? To see how you have to move the character up the ladder.
I reckon as I said in NW 21 thread if Nagano is on same kind of form as in 21 you won't have to wait long to see it I doubt he will fail the gliding final ring again if he reaches it in 22...

This is where I kick into play.... but its kinda late for this D: There we go. The picture that I sent to scnoi few weeks ago. Now that Levi confirmed it, I am glad to say that its not 22.5 meter long climb. Also, I am not sure if that is the ladder, but it could be. Here you go. The picture that actually proves srw's statement. The fact is, however, that if this is true (and providing that the obstacle doesn't change (prevents scnoi from backfiring)) its a 15 meter ladder climb, which is insane. Lastly, since I like Legos so much:

So I guess I was correct about the ladder then. That sucks, We have something as cool (yet pretty easy with practice) as a Spider Climb and now its just a ladder, 1 ladder, I mean even Kunoichi had two ladders (especially the third Final Stage where you have to turn around which is a time killer) and that part was always defeated easily (most people lost time on the Pole Climb, and on Sasuke if you can make it that far now you're probably good at rope climbs (especially Nagano (even though hes more of a Spider Climb expert) and Takeda (even though Takeda has never made it to the Final Stage, I think if he practices his endurance the last three obstacles he can make it, he always lost on the Pipe Slider jump and with the notch in the Gliding Ring it seems like he can make it there if he can get to the end of the Gliding Ring, In fact I hope Takeda finally makes it to the Final Stage [/rant]))
And ladders are pretty easy to climb, I've climbed up a 15 foot ladder sort of like that in 2 seconds. I'm just wondering what the time is because a ladder and rope with 30 seconds seems too easy. Especially judging by that pic before it looks like the rope is shorter. And what will they do when the time is running low? Just pull it back (like they seperated the walls) so you don't slam into it when they drop the rope? Because technicly you can still make it to the rope if they do that by climbing to the very top of it and jumping to the rope, although the rope will be swinging making it harder to hit the button when you get up there (Nagano in Sasuke 12 ring a bell?)

Exception: That might've been the camera's holding plate. Also, the time will be shorter I guess since it isn't going to be that hard.
