Lol Thanks all. That was incredible. I'd like to personally thank all those who hosted and allowed the rest of us to watch it. I'd in particular like to thank supernovamaniac, whose stream I used.

Thanks to Master Streamer Jason and all the little streamers. Wait, that didn't sound right, did it? You know what I mean. Thanks, guys.
Thanks also to the drive-by poster who pointed us to the HD version.
I had both of 'em up, along with Keyhole TV, at one time or another...and sometimes all of 'em simultaneously.
It turned out great. I'm utterly worn out, physically and emotionally. I can't even figure out if we still need to use spoiler tags, but congrats to all the competitors. Most of you know the ones I mean ;D

When will the HD recording get posted? No one told me where it was and I was hosting a stream so i couldn't look for it.

The HD feed was from someone using justin.tv and I don't know that it was being recorded. I wasn't able to check it out because I was streaming my WIST account, but people in the forum chat room said the HD feed was freezing constantly and they were switching back to the livestreams.

Yeah I also heard there were some problems with the HD feed, doesn't sound like we'll get that. How bout a regular recording? Anyone got that? I was going to do a rebroadcast tonight or tomorow but it doesn't look like that'll happen unless I can get a copy :-P

Yeah I'm hoping someone else recorded too. I was going to record while streaming but decided it would probably hurt the stream quality to do both. If someone did record it may take a few days before we see it because it will take time to upload such a long event, and if they did any editing or converting format that will add more time too.

I had no issues with the HQ screen. There were 350 people on it as well. I'm happy ya'll hanged around and did the WIST feeds. You helped a lot of people that just couldn't run the Justin TV feed or didn't even know about it. So my hats off to you guys and Jason helping out with hosting the feed. Poor guy didn't even get to see the tourney.. he was working All in all there was something for someone to see and I made a calculation that around 500 people were actively watching all 6 hours.

I had found out about an HD stream a couple minutes before the broadcast, I knew I had to stream (I was streaming sheep's feed) and didn't want to take the risk of something untested

I tested for one cms. It wasn't good, so I switched back before the real major component of the show kicked in.

I put up part of it (you know where.. and if you don't know where please PM the mods and don't post here). I'm having trouble breaking up the 1.8 gig file I have for the last 4 hours. Once I tackle that problem I'll get the rest of the tourney up. Thanks Jason for even allowing me to have that copy for the benefit of the blog. I didn't realize I was basically the only one to record it directly from VLC.

In case of future emergency, we could try something like CamStudio to record the Keyhole feed. My experience with it has been mixed, but my computer is also older than dirt.
Has anyone entertained the idea of a "public" WIST account?

You mean to run the account through livestream? Outside of Sporstman running on Thursday I don't believe anyone will be using that until we know when 25 airs. Could be a possibility though.

If you're talking about the CamStudio part, I'm not sure. You'd probably just as well off pointing a webcam at the screen for that. This was more for the sake of recording and saving, since the ball was dropped on that.
The public WIST account was just hypothesizing if you could use WIST on multiple machines (simultaneously even). The sub could be raised through donations (and each donor gets user info, which gets changed every x months) and it would siphon off some of the livestream traffic.

If nothing else, I can vouch that WIST let's you run it on multiple machines. I run it off my server and local computer at the same time .

Figures. I sign up, and get a friggin "runtime error" Gee... thanks.
-EDIT-
SERIOUSLY? I tried sending info to them through the contact link you gave... and IT gave a runtime crash too!
Is it because I'm using Firefox? Gah...
