Not being able to use your feet is the killer. If you could use your feet it would make it significantly easier.
Actually, I wish they would've kept that version. Or if for 24 they'd change it back to that.
Would make stage 3 a bit harder

I really hope you're not talking about me. I'm just getting a bit annoyed that EVERY obstacle we do talk about, the conversation at some point basically goes, "Yea, I tried it. Not that hard." Look, I'm glad you guys are training on replicas and such, and it's cool that your confident in what you can do. But at the same time, it really, really gets annoying that nowadays that is all any conversation about an obstacle turns to. When you guys make it there, we'll see really how your training stacks up against the obstacles. But until then, please can we save most of this. For me, it is turning into parody rather than a statement of self-confidence.

I never said the obstacle looks easy. I said the right side of the obstacle looks like an easier path than the one Rider had planned out. Simply because there are no large gaps and more rocks to hold onto.

I hate obstacles that have "rules" that restrict your movements. You should beable to put your legs on the obstacle.
And if you could, couldn't this obstacle be easier? Its a hellovalot shorter. And couldn't you hang your feet from the last jumping bar? I mean, if you were 6", you could probably get halfway up the obstacle while your feet are hanging on the last bar. (I think)

Simply because there are no large gaps and more rocks to hold onto. Considering most of those rocks have nothing to grab the path I put there seems about right, As for that big gap, I guess I should have made 10 a blue number and not a red one shouldn't I have? As for the proof the only reason I haven't gotten any is because I don't have a camera.

Until you have a rock climbing wall angled like that with the same pieces placed in the same spots, it won't be proof anyway.

Simply because there are no large gaps and more rocks to hold onto. I never said your name or anyone's for that matter. Thus, I'm not sure what you mean. But I digress... It definitely would be cool to see in the Third Stage but I highly doubt we'll ever see it in the course again.

I always thought that when people mentioned that "you can't use your feet", they we're implying that it was physically impossible. I don't know though

I don't see how we know the rules on it since no one ever got to it...
Maybe they'll reinstate it when they decide to make stage three harder.

I don't see how we know the rules on it since no one ever got to it... Know how in Sasuke 20 they had the Sending Climber? And know how in Sasuke 20 Levi Meeuwenberg made stage 3? And know how Levi speaks english? And know how Levi had to be told the rules before he ran? Now you know...

You're right! I forgot about that!
But now I have a new question. Why did you have to be a jerk when you answered me?

Its never been confirmed if you could use your feet or not its unknown and probably will never be known....
(Levi has never publically said it)

Uhm, Levi confirmed it. Who cares if it was publically or not?
You couldn't use your feet before, that's all there is to it. And we have no proof that you COULD use your feet. However levi confirmed you couldn't and of course since he made it to stage 3 and was there he needed to know the rules.
If you're really concerned, ask him about Sasuke 20 on facebook.

If (yes, if) it is true that you couldn't use your feet on that original, that would be incredibly inconsistent and add a significant degree of artificial difficulty, which I would consider poor design. Then again, I suppose you could say the same thing about the Devil Steps, but on those it just seems natural.

If they brought it back and decided to let you use your feet, wouldn't it still be slightly more difficult anyway?

If they brought it back and decided to let you use your feet, wouldn't it still be slightly more difficult anyway? Yeah especially since the rocks are further spread out. Seems as if you can start on any side of the glass but still have to end up near the right side once you get to the top.

Ignoring everything above...
Using your feet would not help on the original Ascending Climb. There is no place to hook your feet and the strength required to pull your legs up would not be worth the potential rest you could get.
