This guy is like... what? 12? can do the cliff hanger 12 consecutive times
they are all insane.

I wonder if they do any actual conditioning or anything else besides those few obstacles.
I think David or Oti should put up a video called... Shin-Cliff Hanger... Over NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not that impressed by this, honestly. It's cool that he has the upper body and finger strength to do this, but it's not that amazing. Penguincatfish more or less summed up my feelings with: On that note, penguincatfish: when I have a full-sized cliff hanger, maybe I will.

I think he proves that most of these obstacles require more technique than strength.

I dunno. The Cliff Hanger definitely requires some decent upper body strength and great finger strength, not to mention endurance, because climbing is harder than just simply hanging. Plus, other obstacles like the Devil's Steps and Ascending Climb are more strength than technique. What he's done above is definitely an accomplishment.
It's just not, like, "Oh god, look at that, holy *&$"/

Okay, I'm gonna come up with a bunch of arguments to make me feel less inadequate: 1. His fingers are smaller, thus he can get more of his fingers onto the ledge to hang on with, as oppsed to just the tips. 2. He weighs less, thus it would be easier to hold himself up (the muscle to weight ratio is higher as a developing child I believe) 3. Urmm... centre of gravity?
Okay, this is hopeless. I'm just going to have to dedicate 9 hours a day to training from now on. Leave it to the 12 year olds to make you feel like you're not good enough lol Quite impressive though; congratulations, FinCliffer.

Oti: Yeah it's not WOW AMAZING OMG HOLY @#$@, but it's impressive for a 12 year old and makes me feel bad about myself.

yea he's quite good, but I definitely agree with each of scopedknofe's arguments. Also, see how damn well built are those things? see how much GOOD wood and space? That makes training a LOT easier. That thing doesn't move at all. And, he's got the time to do that..if I had the same time to train on and the same replica I could do it too. Also, notice something: sometimes he jumps at nearly half of the first bar, and nearly always when he lands on the third bar he just drops, he doesn't finish it. So it's not 12 full times to me.

At the same time I'd like to see him not time-out on stage 1, or get up the warped wall.
Also, his salmon ladder training wasn't too impressive, I'd say if he got there, he'd probably fail there.

Wow... don't we all feel big belittling a 12 year old? ;D I wish I had a replica, that way I'd know for sure if I was capable. Though for the moment I've pulled a muscle in my left arm Seriously though, all luck to this guy. If he wants to train from age 12, and can already (arguably) do the Cliff Hanger, and perhaps some others, then all power to him ^_^

not only may he become of the youngest (if not the youngest) competitor on Sasuke, but maybe he could even pass the first stage lol imagine a preteen passing shin-sasuke's first stage when yamada can't

p.s.---no offense to yamada
p.s.s---maybe not passing the first stage if this is the only obstacle he practices on...he would definitely beat the shin-cliff hanger though

Not gonna lie, the guys got skill, however lets see what happens when he hits puberty and gains a whole lot of weight. Then we'll see if he can still do this like 12 times.

Just relax and keep training. You'll be fine.
People who don't worry about it like you turned out ok, after all.

Wow. 12 and 15 mm. The door frames in my house are 15mm. I can hang off them, and do about 3 pull ups... but this is pretty damn good. And hanging off 15mm HURTS. Probably due to the immense pressure on the fingertips lol Very impressive.
