I took these 2 pics.... I thought i should... With my phone not the greatest quality but ehhh shows the new 2nd stage obstacle and a good shot of Yuji xD ....you ever considered pressing the... Print Screen button? Why on earth do people take pictures of their screens... I'll never understand. I understand why, because barely anyone knows what that key above insert does. I only know because I stumbled upon a youtube video. But I use it all the time, used it for pics in my long a** Trailer. EVER

That Richard King kills me. His 1st stage run was funny and awesome. The underwear thing is classic Sasuke. Glad the graphics covered it up most the time though.

What an absolutely mad tournament. The atmosphere was incredible (see: intro to Wakky's run). The first stage got destroyed. I think all of those trial people clearing with such good times in short succession really energised everyone throughout the rest of the day, and it just got crazier from there on. One of my favourite ever tournaments, although I'll have to see it's rewatch value to decide if it's my absolute favourite.

I had 3 favorite parts of the broadcast.
1. After we saw Richard King finish we though eh, first person to clear is in the 40's not too unusual. Then we saw someone clear right after him and we started freaking out. TWO IN A ROW, ARE YOU SRS? The funny part though comes after that, we see a run get FAST FORWARDED everyone is confused because clear in Shin Sasuke has never been FF'ed before, but much to our surprise, 3 more were FF'd after that!!!
Everyone in the chat simultaneously went WTF?!!! It was so great =p
2. Nagano's D/Q
They NEVER show both runs when someone is disqualified, and when he failed everyone had a wtf moment. Then when Nagano started talking it wasn't his usual surprised or silly I messed up face, he was serious. Then when the replay started with different music everyone realized it, then there was a wait to see if he got a redo or not... he did, and then he PASSED!!
3. kanno's stage 3 run
Specifically when he beat the 3rd stage. When he won you could just tell how passionate about it he was, he was EXTREMELY happy. And then they music they played was awesome. Nagano's run was good too because it was his first time in the final stage since he won... but it wasn't too, exciting more like... "IT TOOK YOU THIS LONG TO GET BACK?"

I'm sorry, how is falling in the water not a disqualification?? Even if it was repealed, the shocking moment was when everyone THOUGHT he was disqualified. Anyway, I hate that I missed the first bit. The first run I saw was Brian Orosco. When he cleared, I saw the "6" on the bottom of the screen and thought "that can't mean 6 clears already!" It took a bit of time for me to realize that there were that many clears!

THAT is a disqualification. The result of a malfunction of an obstacle is not a DQ. Remember he DQ'ed himself on the Sasuke 18 Shin Cliffhanger.. he was perfectly dry there.. he caught the obstacle. He's been known already to walk away from him making a mistake. That's crystal clear.

Sorry to be slightly off topic here...
Don't disqualifications because of rules not made clear yet (I.E. first person to fail like that) get a second chance? So what's the story of Nagano's 18 3rd stage run? Did he choose not to go again? Did the same thing happen on his second run? what happened?

Sasuke 18 he DQ'ed himself (and to my knowledge he was the first one to screw up that way so they updated the obstacle to avoid having issues like that again).
The famous Lance Tarpend incident was also another one (they let him redo the course but he didn't succeed the 2nd time - that's the part they aired). Sasuke 21 Takeda on the Salmon Ladder (The bar jammed so it wouldn't move.. at all.. so they dismantled the salmon ladder and used a second identical bar just in case) and you saw his 2nd run. Sasuke 18 (not 17) was Nagano's rolling log. Unlike other DQ's where someone's weight was shifted causing the rolling log to roll off it's tracks.. Nagano was doing the obstacle correctly when the log just stopped and jammed. (I can only assume from repeated use and humidity since he was last again) and they let him redo it since he was able to get up off the obstacle and just jump off the end himself (he didn't fall.. he just climbed the rigging to get off the obstacle).

I do feel sorry for all the people who had the Rolling Log either fall off its tracks or stop half way down. There's really nothing they could do about it. Of course, Nagano wasn't given special treatment since his was on the Log Grip, if it had happened on the Rolling Log he'd have just had to continue.

You might want to fix those reversed numbers.
And wow.. this is the first I've heard about the 21 thing, Where do we find out this info anyways? XD But I'm sure the Salmon Ladder has 1000 backup bars XD Hell.. The 18-20 one the bar was supposed to fall off the tracks so that's 5 in water already and there had to be one in place for nagano's run in 20. Not to mention first notch epic fail 2 in 23 XD

It was in 18, not 17, and it was the Log Grip.

It was in 18, not 17, and it was the Log Grip. Brain still fried but yes it was definitely 18 since that's the tournament my friend went to and not the rolling log.. damn logs.. it just rolls off my fingers and I didn't proof read that part. Thanks.

Of course, Nagano wasn't given special treatment since his was on the Log Grip, if it had happened on the Rolling Log he'd have just had to continue. Agreed. Most of the time though with the actual rolling log.. someone didn't center themselves (like the famous Ishimura roll off the platform one) and caused it to come off the tracks. A lot of others just got it jammed .. again.. because they shifted their weight improperly (personally I'm glad it's gone because it was too easy to screw it up if you mounted it incorrectly). I put 2 thoughts in the same sentence... stupid mash potato brains..
