I don't think it moves up and down automatically, but instead gets pushed down when a competitor jumps on it.

Noticing a few things about this.. All the "logs" are at different heights but they also seem to be the same exact heights/angles/whatevers as the day time pics from before. Particularly This one (where it looks like it's plain metal holding it up). And look at the shadow patterns between them and look between the flat "logs" (They look plasticy to me so I can't really just say logs) in the day time pic, notice how there are stops there? Those may be supports holding them steady and there might be some weirdly angled lights you can't see the light of in the pic.. but it also could be tracks that the metal bars slide around in and all of them are set to spring back to the original posistion.. Weird theory but how does that sound? EDIT: Speaking of that track thing, look at the third "log" around the support in the day time close up pic linked to in this post... And also look at the bottom of the second log, you can see a hinge where it meets the sideways "logs" Now back to your regularly scheduled post little off topic...do you realize it's been a LONG time since they last used an automatically moving obstacle? it's been...damn, it's exactly 5 years! Sasuke 13, the last tournament of the Gyakso Conveyor (reverse conveyor belt). And for those who don't consider it a proper moving obstacle (like me), we can recall the Goren Hammer, that we last saw in Sasuke 9. Close but slightly off.. The last tournament with a motorized obstacle (Granted these look pneumatic or hydraulic) was 14, the Ensuitobi (G4 called it Cone Jump for those who don't know what I mean )

fully lit up final stage... u kno wht tht means, right? someone made the FS The FS has always been lit up since 18 so hardly concludes anything. This new first log obstacle has me very intrigued I look forward to a trailer soon and hopefully can see a bit of it in action.

The first obstacle.....
looks like a springy version of the sextuple steps with only one of the logs that is springy.
