Hopefully there aren't any sudden disasters because that new obstacle and Jumping Spider would be hellish to past.

lol, I'm going to be annoyed if they removed the Steps but kept the Circle Hammer. Not sure what the hell that thing is. Could be some kind of, um... duodecuple step. I can tell by the shape of the platform at the end of the picture, that it is not the same run up to the Circle hammer as before. We would be able to identify it as that obstacle if we saw the black loop track that hangs from above, but it isn't there. Just out of frame is it? We'll see if it was. But for now, two new first obstacles.

SMF.. Where we take small views of the background of pics very seriously... XD LOL This coming from you is funny But you are correct And as of now there is no other way to confirm it one way or the other. The MM kids are mixed also with other people who are not even running the course so it could be funny if it wasn't either one I know that's why it's funny.. That's kind of why I thought it was worth posting XD. And seems like a bit of special treatment the Muscle Musical guys are the first to be able to get an up close view of the new obstacles with all kinds of people there (assumably) talking about them. I can tell by the shape of the platform at the end of the picture, that it is not the same run up to the Circle hammer as before. We would be able to identify it as that obstacle if we saw the black loop track that hangs from above, but it isn't there. Just out of frame is it? We'll see if it was. I think maybe they modified the distance between obstacles because they think the first obstacle would waste too much time and maybe they modified the circle hammer (assuming it's still there, the supports look similar but it's a very generic setup, it's a hanging obstacle whatever it is) runup just to make it so you're required to jump to it because almost everyone reached for it since Kawahara did it (assuming he was the first to try it like that being as he was #14).

It looks exactly the same to me. The Circle Hammer looks to be there.

It looks exactly the same to me. The Circle Hammer looks to be there. Yeah. It looks exactly the same to me too. I just don't want to make assumtions based on a frame when we haven't seen the whole structure. Not if I saw a hint of the ring I'd say that's confirmed, but just a structure I wouldn't confirm anything. I mean for all we know they might have put up an ANW-esque rope swing

Wow! That is one interesting first obstacle. If it is meant to be attempted as it appears, I could see it taking out a good amount of people. Now I'm really looking forward to this new Sasuke ;D.

The last thing the first stage needs is a new tricky obstacle. I hope it's more fun than hard.

A super-tricky first obstacle??? The Manly Dancing Stone-Log Thingys. That should be the official title.

Well when I said "taking out a good amount of people", I was referring more toward the out-of-shape celebrity and joke competitors. That way we don't have to see them struggle for nearly 20 seconds on the circle hammer, assuming it's still there haha. I like that name. But if it involves words like man, I already know Nagano will pass it lol.

From the close-ups, it looks like the steps are stationary but at varying angles.

Thats what it looks like to me.. Especially based on how they're mounted.. I guess a mix of the Angle Run (I forgot the real name >_<) and those things from wipeout that you run across and some drop.

Awesome! Man the end of the month cant come soon enough! That could really throw someone's judgement off if they move on their own. Can't wait to see how the rest have been tweaked.

little off topic...do you realize it's been a LONG time since they last used an automatically moving obstacle? it's been...damn, it's exactly 5 years! Sasuke 13, the last tournament of the Gyakso Conveyor (reverse conveyor belt). And for those who don't consider it a proper moving obstacle (like me), we can recall the Goren Hammer, that we last saw in Sasuke 9.
