Plus, isn't the SASUKE 22 First Stage like 102m, or 300+ feet long?
In terms of shipped obstacles, if they really are shipping the actual obstacles from Japan (or at least duplicates of those), then I wouldn't expect anything too big. So no full scale Half-Pipe Attack.
I could see them bringing the trampoline for the Jumping Spider, maybe stuff like the Salmon Ladder, Swing Ladder, Shin-Cliffhanger, Sextuple Steps, etc.

I guess they'd take the 10 that got the farthest, right? Or do they get to choose whoever they want based on the trials? Anyways, if they use similar obstacles usedd in SASUKE, I would think that's a huge advantage to Levi, Brian, David and other swho have competed there before.

Most likely based on performance if not alot of people are going to beat it... But we have alot of people here on the forums and g4 forums that can complete all of them easily... sooo if not alot of people make it... just better chance for them

Btw.. anyone live near the area? I know it takes Sasuke almost 2 weeks to build their course.. I figure at least a week out they'd start working on it? You know.. to get a glimpse?

Actually, this reminds me of that fan event before SASUKE 21, where they brought back 6 old obstacles for people to try out.
Should be really cool to see. They should definitely bring back the Reverse Fly lol.

Great news!!!!! I asked about the protective gear that would be required as I planned to buy my own that would fit right and got this reply back!
"David,
As of right now contestants will not be required to wear safety gear"
Wooohoooo!!!

I used to be a stage hand for Bill Graham Presents and we set up a HUGE HUGE stage and sound system at a basball stadium in basically one day. I was watching the Japanese set up between stages and they just really take their time, talk about what they're doing a lot, talk about it more, before they do anything. Which is fine, but expect the american course to be put up much faster! If the event is on sat I'd check on thursday maybe? Of course it will be completed friday afternoon. If it's close enough though you could check it out every day and keep us posted!

However most of the course is made of standard rigging gear. All the aluminum tressing and the steel pipes, it all goes together like giant tinker toys. There are just a few custom fabricated pieces here and there such as the curved brown part of the jumping spider, the sextuple steps and the warped wall. I'd say about 80% of the course could be made from rigging gear here with just those key pieces shipped over. They may also be sending over one of the Japanese course builders to supervise the cunstruction? Of course this is all my own speculation.

Having seen sets being put together in coliseums (like changing from a hockey game to a basketball game in under 24 hours LOL) I can see how they can in essense do it overnight. Though I doubt a) the set will be as big b) or as complicated c) will be done as quickly. Though depending on how much they are renting that spot it might be pretty quick if they didn't want the rental fees to escalate. That said.. JUST to piss us off I wouldn't put it past them to put up some construction walls to stop people from peering through LOL

Rider did a favor for me a while back by helping host this picture I did. This is Sasuke 21 and the lot in Mount Midoriyama. You see the rigging David was talking about? Yeah.. it takes half the field.. LOL

ok so from the Sasuke 21 fan event thing I see:
Ballance log thing Jump Hang Propeller Bars Curtain Cling Rubling Dice and The Pipe Slider
Those are all pretty easy with the exception of the dismount on the Pipe Slider.
All they would need to ship to get these over here would be:
The long log piece, the trampoline, the net, the actual metal thing you hold on the Rumpling Dice, The actual pipe you hold on the Pipe Slider, The cloth of the Curtain Cling, and the propeller gear part of the propeller bars. And that's it! You could fit all that in the back of a pickup truck! Everything else is just generic bars and rails.
So if we assume they ship all this over that leaves 4 obstacles. I'd guess Jumping Spider, Warped Wall, Salmon Ladder, and Cliffhanger. But I think they'll have the Sextuple steps too just because they're so iconic, so maybe change out the jump hang or the ballance log fir the sex steps. That's one possible scenerio anyway. I'm going to start brushing up on my pipe slider technique, I recently found a new place to practice it!

On the schematics (the picture on the right) The top 2 obstacle sets (they look like 2 slits on the top left of that picture) that was the Sasuke Festival set. So if you see "4" in yellow.. it's to the left of that on the picture). See how small that is? So if they even give us that and stretch it out into one big thing (because the Festival was cut up into "beginner course" and "advanced course") you can see where they are coming up with the numbers.

It's Sasuke 13 trials all over again. At least what I've presumed to be the Sasuke 13 trials.

That's true.
Seen from other videos, the middle part (more like upward curved part) of soritatsukabe is one piece. I'm not sure about the weight (because I haven't seen it in real life) but it will be a pain in the butt if they ship that. The one in Santa Monica, I thought, looked good enough.
