Better late than never, it's time for the SASUKE Guessing Game XIX Results! Hey, it's better than waiting a month like we used to. And I can make that joke because Will and I are friends now! He even sent me a Christmas card with pictures of his children [EDITOR'S NOTE: battle robots]. Also, in the two weeks since I made the comment about the pandemic coming to an end, COVID cases have tripled. Yikes. It also occurred to me that I've now followed more SASUKE "Rising" tournaments (12) than Higuchi-era tournaments (11). I assume the same holds true for each of you. We are collectively very old.
On to the results. Thanks to the lengthy broadcast, the average score was 366.1, up over 70 points from last time and I believe a new tournament record. Last year's winner SasukeForever wouldn't have even finished in the top 10. Fun fact: I had to manually rescore every result because for some reason my parser made everyone guess 5 for Hayate Kajihara, something I would not have noticed had he not won Dark Horse. But on the bright side, that also means I didn't have to go to the one-point rule for any competitor.
As an aside, I had to make the following rulings:
- Though I would personally consider Yusuke Goto failing the Salmon Ladder Kudari, the rules for this competition clearly state that a competitor must get a firm grip on the Salmon Ladder Kudari to clear the Salmon Ladder Nobori. Since he never got a firm grip, I determined him to fail the Salmon Ladder Nobori for the purposes of this competition.
- I yielded to SASUKE's official scoring on Tomohiro Mutou as failing the Sidewinder.
I'm going to have to reword these rules next year.
Lastly, I decided that I haven't been savage enough to the competitors, so I've gone above and beyond to not only be more savage but score two additional unofficial entries. Enjoy!
Uh, I need an ending. Download Ninja Machine v2 here! Have a great 2022, everyone. Maybe I'll actually post something on here between guessing games for a change.

Since you're clearly such a big SASUKE fan, I decided to score your (non-)entry as blanks, so would be the result for putting 0 for every competitor. Too bad you're not around any more to collect your reward.

Once again, you've entered with a meme entry, as evidenced by the fact that you had 44 competitors defeating the 1st Stage. What is this, SASUKE Vietnam?

It seems like you and Sierra are the new Harashima/Kuramochi, and I'm sure neither of you would have it any other way.

Oh how the mighty have fallen. The second-ever Guessing Game champion and a usual stalwart in this competition finds himself only ahead of the meme competitors.

I would recommend reading the rules for Dark Horse next time, as a former finalist very clearly does not count.

#1 SoftBank customer, #1 in our hearts, and #32 in this competition. Congratulations on being the Arizona Coyotes of SASUKE predictions - and hey, you'll have something in common with them when they inevitably move to Canada.

To answer your pondering, a lot of people picked Kajihara as Dark Horse because 1, he actually was the Dark Horse, and 2, unlike your pick of Tatsuya Tada, he was actually eligible to be Dark Horse.

In a lot of years this might have been a very good entry, but your faith in some of the fan favorites (and Wasabi?!?) cost you a high position.

And who is this random character string, you ask? A Japanese Twitter user claimed that they had snuck into Midoriyama and posted the alleged results of all 100 competitors. The fact that this user got into an argument with Masato Inui led many to believe these were legitimate results until the broadcast aired and it was clear that these were mere guesses.
You can view their "results" here

If we had only scored 1 through 92 you might have won. I'll admit having 2 finalists would have made this a much more enjoyable tournament though.
