Guys like Frosty, Jesse Le flair, Levi Meuingberg, Tim Sheriff etc
They have all done well before
Are NBC limiting the number of competitors from a certain discipline ?

I was really pissed off that all of the wildcards in the finals went to women who had NO chance of getting through stage 1 !
Drew Dreshel definitely deserved a wildcard, maybe Flip as well
I know they want the show to be more universally appealing, but still pees me off
Why not have a separate show for women ?

why is everyone complaining about the backstream ? It's a few strokes at most !
the water is pushed centrally, all you need to do is swim on the far right side then cut accross at the end

I really enjoyed it !
Seemed much more serious with way less of the stupid gimmickly celebrities competing. I think they have taken this from ANW, more serious competitors
I thought the stages were coool with less of the really unpredictable obstacles where anyone can trip up.
Nagano really is looking older and slower nowadays, still a legend.
Those commenting wall lifting was too hard, i liked that ! Pure strength is one attribute this course doesn't test anywhere else and Drew showed it really wasn't that tough.
Didn't like the salmon ladder rules.

Check out the latest videos on their youtube channel www.youtube.com/user/CrossFitHQ/videosSeems like crossfit is latching onto ANW's popularity and will now probably warp the training methods and market them as their own Look i have nothing against Crossfit overall and i do train some modified crossfit style workouts but there are just things i don't like about the crossfit cult. Their business model is based around anyone can open a crossfit gym as long as they pay their affiliate fees and their 'instructors' complete a basic training course for which they have to pay for. So basically you get people with varying levels of experience doing a quick course and teaching crossfit. That's fine for basic workouts but i really don't like them trying to diversify into specialist areas like freerunning. They have previously also taken on board self defence stuff as well. Self defence needs to be training by an experienced practitioner with real world experience (my instructor trains prison and transit guards in self defence/restraint/protection etc and has managed the doors on some really rough biker bars). Self defence shouldn't be taught by a crossfit gym owner who may have done a one day course. Ditto for freerunning, needs to be taught by proper experienced freerunners, not crossfit gym owners. I know they aren't trying to do this yet, but it may be heading in that direction ! so guys, is ANW's association, even in it's infancy, a good or bad thing ?

hi guys, as a pure spectator, what's it like say watching the Vegas finals ? When things get started, it is quite a fast moving spectacle ? Or is it quite a long day, drawn out with lots of breaks inbetween competitor runs ? Just want to know what to expect

the big thing in our favour is at least 70 percent of the captial investment is already there. They will reuse around 70% of the obstacles and equipment from this year and maybe make up 30% new stuff
They are probably already starting the design and fabrication of new obstacles for next year now.

Even the commentators were gently hyping up the rivalry which is great for the event. Just about every name in elite American Parkour gives ANW a go nowadays. Will we see more guys from the elite rock climbing world give it a go ? I'm talk about guys placing in IFSC events. Check out some of the speed climbing events here www.youtube.com/user/ifscchannel/videosGenerally the parkour guys are going to be quick and great overall athletes but most will agree that the rock climbers are best suited to get through stage 3. I think stage 3 will be changed a bit for next year, maybe to add more obstacles which are still upper body centric but maybe not as familar movements to climbers.

I'm not an expert with ratings
What does it really mean ?
Good enough for to renewed for next season ? I don't want what all these guys will do if the show is cancelled

Really hate them showing the other competitors 'cheering' . You could see Brent Steffenson was glad he didn't make it to stage 4. Its human nature. When these guys are this committed, they do not want to see anyone else win, they want to be the one, yet they have to put on the facade or being supportive and cheering. Sure they were happy to hug the buggar when he fell, lol

Yes i know but they don't show that many of the runs, so why not have less celebs and show all of their runs ?

I have always felt the celebrities have taken too many of the spots. Seeing how many of the celebrity runs they show, i think 30 spots max should go to celebs and the other 70 to serious competitors, maybe more
And celebrities who haven't even gotten past the first obstacle before shouldn't be allowed back.

I don't think the Japanese elite competitors liked the fact more Americans did better than they did in this Sasuke. You could see some of their faces when the Americans were getting through Stages 1 and 2 Idealy it would be unreal if Sasuke competitors descended on the challenge from all over the world, UK, Europe, Australia, Africa etc but i think the Japanese will want a keep a bit of a reign on foreign competitors so they aren't shown up. I know it's important to the Japanese but some of the celebrity contestants were a disgrace. great to have a scene release of this event for a change
