I missed the Season 9 when so many ideas from Obstacle Design were used. This season so far we have 2 obstacles from Obstacle Design are Serpent and Ghost Town. I believe Final Frontier is also one but the one in Reddit who claimed to be the submitter of that obstacle has deleted his comment so I'm not sure.

While I haven’t watched this season, what has annoyed my about the Obstacle Design Challenge in recent years is that they won’t always mention it’s a fan made obstacle in any way. I think they should introduce each obstacle initially as fan-made, but they’ll often wait till its second appearance to give credit or not at all. Not good form IMO.

Was wondering why the first Instagram link wasn't embedding.
Turns out the forum doesn't auto-embed Instagram "reel" links.
Using the Insert Embed function will work.
Also changing /reel/ in the url to /p/ will turn it into a regular Instagram link for the auto-embed to do its thing.

Once someone in SASUKEpedia even had to to navigate through their website to confirm the Coconut Climb and Slam Dunk in Season 11 was actually from Obstacle Design Challenge.

JON KLIPPENSTEIN: ASSUMED HE RAN IN SEMIFINAL 3
DAVID TOMASSONI: KALEIDOSCOPE (ALL CUT, ANW REDDIT) RAN IN SEMIFINAL 4
EMMANUEL AOUAD: DIAMOND DASH (ALL CUT, SPOKE TO HIM) RAN IN SEMIFINAL 4
LEIF SUNDBERG: WITHDREW FROM COMPETITON (COVID RELATED)
DEVIN HARR: ASSUMED HE RAN IN SEMIFINAL 4
SCOTT BISHOP: ASSUMED HE RAN IN SEMIFINAL 3
LUKE MIZEL: ASSUMED HE RAN IN SEMIFINAL 2
ANDREW STOINSKI: ASSUMED HE RAN IN SEMIFINAL 3
NICKI ASIRVADAM: ASSUMED HE RAN IN SEMIFINAL 4
PARISH CARDENAS: ASSUMED HE RAN IN SEMIFINAL 2
KC BOUTIETTE: AIR SURFER, GROUP 4 (ALL CUT, CONFIRMED WITH HIM)
Are all the unknown semifinalists from the past four episodes. It's safe the assume none of them got to the backhalf which makes its a little easier to assume how they did
Of the Semifinals, the last two episodes have the most all cuts
Most of the cuts are Air Surfer, Clockwork, Kaleidoscope, or Hopscotch fails.

So we have 70 people in the finals. 2 women got in the top 15. I'm not totally against this only because it means they only have 35 people to show in each stage 1 episode and hopefully no one gets fully cut. The Semi finals were good wish they would have tried harder to squeeze everyone in. Taking a few seconds to add those cut to the fast forwards isn't that hard and doesn't change the number of stories you can put on the show.
I hope season 15 returns to going from region to region, there should be 6 of them.
This may or may not be controversial but I would have the 30 qualifying women compete in a separate semi final course with the top 10 rounding out Vegas and making the finals 100 people again.
The Teens
I don't think they have any advantage other than being generally lighter, they have to go to school, the adults go to work, most of the big players work at ninja gyms so there isn't really any advantage large enough to only allow adults.
The Old Guard
NGL I am actually happy that we are seeing the ninjas that were here since the beginning start to not qualify for finals not because I don't like them, but because I feel the show needs to see new faces rise, it will rejuvenate American Ninja Warrior because new faces makes the show feel like it's not stale, also since the new generation is younger it will be what keeps or even brings in the under 50 and younger crowd
Nerfing
This has to stop, the obstacles should be the same difficulty for everyone who runs them in the same round. It doesn't take a genious to notice that when an obstacle that took out the majority of ninjas ends up taking out barely anyone that it was made much easier the second time around. That patently isn't fair and needs to change.
Back stories
NBC is getting better, at least in the semi's they have a long way to go with showing us more action, but at least the stores aren't all sob stories and don't take up ridiculous amounts of time. They need to use Peacock "to find out more about the contestants stories go to Peacock" Unless there is something really importants to inform us about don't show it. People can stay conntected with social media.

You can check back Meeks was Semifinal Group 4, and for the two you listed, I'll take their word for it because the semifinals they competed in is correct and lines up.

Ratings are in For those who don't know what this means, ANW did 2,620,000. Down almost 300,000 from last week. I guess people were not interested at all in the talent featured last night. The demo of .30 is abysmal, or as the journalist in this article would say, "Depressing".

DAVID TOMASSONI: ASSUMED HE RAN IN SEMIFINAL 4 LEIF SUNDBERG: ASSUMED HE RAN IN SEMIFINAL 3 KC BOUTIETTE: ASSUMED HE RAN IN SEMIFINAL 3 This is a Reddit thread that talks about competitors whose runs were cut from broadcast. Here is some more in4mation: + Leif Sundberg had to withdraw + David Tomassoni competed in SF4 and failed the 5th obstacle Kaleidoscope. Also, there was a surgery post on KC BOUTIETTE's Instagram, maybe she also had to withdraw.

KC is a male, and when he posted his surgery post the ANW tapings were already finished. Thank you for the other information though. Just talked to him in his IG Comment section, my guess was right, he failed Air Surfer in Semifinal 4. Qualifiers usually tape in like April-Early May and Vegas is done in early to mid June.

They need a new first obstacle that will take out ~50% of the field in qualifiers so that they can just do a montage at the beginning of 50 people failing it in the first minute then go on and show the rest of the contestants.
