The new final stage, in my opinion, was a disapointment.
The Heavenly Climb was just a rope ladder that no one can fail in 45 seconds. Also, there isn't a time limit to complete it, unlike the Spider Climb.
The G Rope was probably the only improvement from the previous final stage because of the increased difficulty.
Because of the ladder, we won't be seeing any falls when the rope gets cut. Seeing the competitor fall was a symbol in a way and was awesome to watch.
What are your thoughts and opinions of the "Shin" Final Stage?

Meh, I like the G-Rope too, it was harder, but I wish the Spider Climb would've stayed.

I'm not convinced the G Rope is on a bungee. Even if it is, I'm not convinced that's necessarily harder.
On top of that, a ladder? Please.
I wanted three ropes to climb, two transfers.
Maybe next time. >.>

I also agree i think that the ladder should go and be replaced with something like the spider climb or salmon ladder (that would be sick and difficult

Salmon Ladder in a final stage? Hmm, dunno....you'd need like 30 minutes to try and clear that!
Ok, maybe a slight exaggeration, but it's a lot to ask.

Loved it, it was the comments in the aim chat and the ones here that ruined it for me though. But that happens, you always hear popular word of mouth and it can change your own view.

I think everyone expected a little too much out of this renovation. Some don't realize that final stage shown in the final review video was simply concept art and never final. Once we found out the final stage was only a meter taller, people started to feel doubtful. Why revert back/not change the final stage by keeping the spider climb. The spider climb was seperable because it was easily made that way. They (the producers/creators) wanted something new, but realistic without being stale, so the ladder was necessary. Be grateful it wasn't steel, but rope/wooden, which makes harder. Yuuji just perfectly knew how to climb it so it wouldn't shake like crazy. And the ladder can contribute by wasting enough time via a slip up on the ladder. And the rope cut, I believe it stings more to force you to the top of the goal if you're close and get a timeout than falling now these days. Because of all you had to do to get here, and now it symbolizes what you could've had instead of suddenly taking it from you. I'm thinking of other things, but I'm lazy at the moment. Case in point, having the 2nd final stage for so long spoiled us a bit, and we expect much more than they could give us, don't forget about money/time issues.

Well the ladder rope final was never a suprise as I already knew it before sasuke 22 and I don't mind it , the only thing that made me go HUH was the time limit - get it back to 30 seconds and its the hardest of the 3 by far.

30 seconds won't do it. No one will beat it unless they have super climbing skills.
Spider Walk, compared to Heavenly Ladder, is little bit easier to climb. That's why some people were able to beat it in 10 seconds (well, one) others around 12~15. I can see people finishing the ladder with about 15 to 17 seconds if they are good (Urushihara took about 16 to 17 seconds to make a complete transfer)
The 10 Meter Rope climb, however, takes a long time. Nagano took almost 17 seconds doing it, and if you calculate Akiyama's speed, its about 16 seconds. They are one of the best rope climbers left in SASUKE, and if you add those two up, its more than 30. So technically, unless someone can climb the ladder + rope REALLY fast, we won't have a winner for another 10 years with 30 seconds.
G-Rope was a regular rope. If you see previous SASUKE videos, especially SASUKE 13, you can see the white thing that people thought it was bungee.
I don't mind rope ladder that much. If you try to climb very quickly, you will get tangled. If you try it too slow, you won't make it.

I'd like to see a 3-part Final Stage. Salmon Ladder for 10 notches, then the wooden ladder, then the rope climb. Keep the overall height the same, but shorten the length of the wooden ladder to make room for the Salmon Ladder at the beginning.

A 12 meter salmon ladder and 10.5 m G ROPE be epic with a 55 second time would be epic.
As for the current one make it 35 seconds then if 30 is considered TOO impossible it shouldnt need to be more than 35 sec.

Honestly, I was expecting a little bit more with the final stage even though I felt it would be a ladder and a rope for a while before. I don't mind the ladder and the rope, but I was extremely disappointed with the leniance of the time limit. So, I put it was okay.

its funny people are complaining over it but im certain had the time been 30 - 35 sec NO ONE would have complained, most people by the time of sasuke 22 knew it was a ladder and rope by that point. The only shock was the time.

Easiest=/=Easy rider is saying that it's essentially a 13m G-Rope with aprox. 30-35 seconds to complete...smaller than 1-4' Final Stage. If he's not saying that, that's my opinion, since that's what I think. Although, the difference in the G-Rope and the normal rope could be enough to cause several timeouts close to the goal. Reminds me of Kunoichi 3, where almost everyone came close to finishing(NOTE: The Kunoichi could be wrong, I'll have to consult lfrt for that) BTW, rider www.sasukemaniac.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=s22&action=display&thread=583yep, there is a topic about this, and you created it.

My rank from hardest to easiest
final stage V 2 final stage V 3 (ONLY because of the time limit) final stage V 1
If the time was less then V3 would be the hardest by a fair way. A ladder takes more effort and longer to climb than a spider climb, and the rope climb is a b**** anyway!

... okay time to go businessy on you... w/ a little math.
23m/45sec= 1.95m/sec... upwards. that can be pretty damn hard.
Now, if it was a 30 second final stage Yuuju would have only gotten a few meters up the rope. 35, he would ahve done 2/5 of the rope.
now also, Final stage= good/great ratings. Someone coming no where close to winning wont bring as as great of ratings as say... someone coming ridiculously close to winning (see Sasuke 3,8,12,22). Not only does it make the show more exciting/dramatic/fun to watch, but it also brings in more veiws next season.
Sasuke is ecestually a business. If they wanted it so no one could get to the second stage, theyed make it that way
ie
19 js salmon ladder shin cliffhanger 10m rope climb (see final stage rope climb) log grip warped wall cannon ball run acending swing ladder wall lift
150 seconds.
No one getting the the wall lift. Not even nagano, Nagaski, All stars, cliffers. Everyone is down by the swing ladder, at the latest. Then you know what'd happen if it wasnt cancelled? It'd get like 9% ratings, come in like 5th in its standing and get cancelled. OR TBS demandes them to make the course less challenging and entertaining.... oh and just maybe have someone clear stages 1 and 2... jsut a thought.
but no, they need to aming it apealing. eevryoen loves the final stage. Your excited. Everyone is excited. You get your family into watch. You get your grandmother, your uncle, your dog, hell even your neighbor who is confined to a wheelchair to watch. Why, cause its exciting, it draws fans. It boost ratings, and it brings people in for the next season.
Very Very Very Simple.
From a business stand point: its great for a viewer stand point: even more great.
You guys were excited... hell maybe even getting out of your seats cheering him from your computer (or in ube's case, TV).
You may not say you like it, but next time the final stage comes around, you'll be loving it durring the broadcast, then be bad mouthin' it after.
I'm not really going anywhere anymore, so the pot ends after the next punctuation mark.

Your math is horrible. It's .51 m/s here vs .75 m/s in version 2 I wonder if one can propel him/herself up the Spider Climb faster than a rope ladder.
