Ah it's literal dogs. Is this filmed on the Wipeout set or just looks the same as it?

Maker was my pick, especially since it was the night's only "underdog" dog. Didn't make it to the final stage, but that was more on the trainer than the dog.

Episode 2's underdog dog Rocko also finished Stage 1 (K9-Combine) with the fastest time, but was eliminated in Stage 2 (The Boneyard), just like Maker.
They also replaced the middle jump of the High Jump with barrels.

Episode 3's underdog dog Minion was also the smallest dog of the competition. Minion put up the fastest time on Stage 2 and won the night with the best take down at the end of Stage 3.
All the other dogs that night were K9's.

Episode 4 had two underdog dogs. One of them beat Stage 1 with the second fastest time, but was eliminated in Stage 2. The other was the slowest in Stage 1.
The night's winning dog took top spot in all three stages.
Here's a clip of puppies watching the show...

Well whether or not this was filmed at Sable Ranch, this shows that it's about time for a Wipeout reboot.
All of these "new" ideas are formulaic and the obstacles these shows use never tend to change.
At its peak, Wipeout was a great show and full of new stuff every week, seems it's about time to revive that after a six-year hiatus.

Episode 5 came down to two Police K9's, with one of them being the oldest dog of the competition at 9 years old.
The other dog won in addition to taking top spot on each Stage that night.

Episode 6 also came down to two Police K9's. The winning dog also took top spot on Stage 1. The other dog was the oldest that night and had top spot on Stage 2. It was very close at the end.
One of the dogs had to go during Stage 1...

Episode 7 came down to two Police K9's, both German Shepherds. The winning dog also had top time in Stage 1. The other dog had top spot in Stage 2.

Episode 8's winner had the fastest times of the season for Stage 1 and Stage 3.
Both dogs in the final round also found 5 items in Stage 2, which very few dogs have been able to do this season.
The night's only underdog dog was a doberman that had puppies a few months earlier.

Episode 9's winner had the top time in Stage 1. The team was also the least experienced having only been together for 4 months on the street.
Both dogs in Stage 3 were the only dogs that night to find all 5 items in Stage 2.
There was also a funny moment where the oldest dog of the night at 9 years old went off course to go in the bushes in Stage 1.

Episode 10's winner was Rony, the K9 that wears goggles, or doggles, as they're called. It was also in the episode title. The other dog had top spot in Stage 1 and 2, while Rony was in second.

Episode 11 was the one and a half hour long season finale.
7 winning dogs returned, consisting of 6 Police K9's and 1 Underdog dog.
6 would move on to Stage 2, and 3 in Stage 3, over the usual 4 and 2.
Stage 2 had a more difficult layout and teams had 4 minutes to find 4 items in 5 rooms.
Stage 3 had a modified Ductwork that included a 10 foot long by 10 inch wide balance plank between the two ducts.
---
All 6 K9's beat Stage 1 under 2 minutes. In the regular season, only 4 dogs were under 2 minutes, with one of them, underdog Maker from Episode 1, being the only dog not in the finale.
The slowest of these 6 would've been top time in 8 of 10 regular season episodes, with Kai from Episode 8 and Maker from Episode 1 being faster.
Eddy broke Kai's record for fastest time of Stage 1, then Kai broke Eddy's record.
---
In Stage 2, Kai was the only dog to find all 4 items. 2nd, 3rd, and 4th found 3 items, with 3rd and 4th separated by less than 4 seconds. 5th only found 1 item.
In the regular season, only 8 dogs found all 5 items in Stage 2. 3 of those dogs were in the finale, then 2 of those dogs made it to Stage 2, and then 1 in Stage 3, which was Kai.
Although, there were cases in the regular season where the run ended early because they didn't need to find all 5 items, such as Mattis from Episode 4.
---
Kai won, becoming the third dog to sweep an episode. Mattis from Episode 4, Django from Episode 5, and Kai from the finale. These three dogs also found all the items they were required to find...
In Episode 4, the 1st and 2nd dogs to run both found 4 items in just under 5 minutes. Mattis went 3rd, finding 4 items in 2:50, faster than both of those two to secure a spot in Stage 3, so the run immediately ended, which meant Mattis didn't get a chance to find all 5 items.
Kai almost had a perfect season. In Episode 8, Kai found all 5 items, but was second on Stage 2.
---
Missing from the finale were Bear, Bowie, and Bane.
Bane from Episode 9 had top spot in Stage 1 and 3, and found all 5 items in Stage 2. This is a similar result to Kai in Episode 8. Bear from Episode 2 also found all 5 items.
Don't know why they didn't bring all of them back and had the finale be 2 hours.

Season 2 will have a new head-to-head format.
They improved the course lighting.
The show seems like it's trying to not be The K9 Show. Last season's finale featured 6 police K9's and 1 underdog dog, and the other 3 winning dogs not in the finale were also K9's.
I think they dropped the scent-finding stage which was kind of random in how it worked.
New co-host David Koechner is like Rob Riggle from Holey Moley. They're both comedians and actors who have done similar projects.

I'm excited it seems like it won't be a K9 show like last season. I like the k9's but I'd like to see other types embraced.
