What "type" of sky do you think makes the atmosphere of the First Stage perfect?

Day then night is a classic for me.
Not to get philosophical or anything like that, but I think the darkening sky is quite fitting of the transition from relatively light hearted to much more serious tone of Stage 1. Imo, something like Yusuke's freak fail on Stage 1 in 37 wouldn't have been anywhere near as dramatic if he wasn't surrounded by misty darkness which really conveyed the sense of grimness to the situation.

There was no daylight in Sasuke 36? No, the entire tournament was at night.

Out of curiosity, why is SASUKE 1 lumped in with full day rather than in it's own category entirely? I actually think there's something to be said about the mystique of SASUKE 1's indoor setting. It almost feels like you're in a different world entirely, one where there's nothing but SASUKE. There's a distinctly dreamlike quality to that that I think warrants its own category. Not to mention the fact that we don't actually know what time of day SASUKE 1 took place if I'm not mistaken.
I see the question mark by 32 lol, that honestly could've been a separate category in and of itself, day then night then day, funny to think about.
Anyway, I like day then sunset. Thematically I like the sun setting as the competition progresses to Stage 2, and it's a shame only 3 tournaments have gotten that feeling.
Also, funny to think SASUKE 37 was also almost entirely at night (if i remember correctly it was already dark by Wataru Mori's run at #10), would've been weird to go from 2 full night Stage 1's to four full day Stage 1's.
Also, 23 would've been a full day/sunset Stage 1 had it not been for Nagano's Slider Jump mishap lol.

Day to night is more dramatic and sets the mood for the later competitors. Full night wasn't too bad though it did make the joke competitors runs seem a bit out of place.
Like Dakohosu said, Morimoto's wall fail in 37 wouldn't have been as good with daylight (39 being case in point).
