with the sasuke 40 roster being the strongest we had in awhile, what if this roster took on the sasuke 1 course? I'm gonna mention a list of names that i think could do well on the course. How would the names mentioned below would do? What would be their worse possible and best possible results? Here are the names:
-Saikawa -Nakashima -Kaiou -Isa -Gota -Matsuda -Ajima -Sugeta -shunsuke -kanno -Hashimoto -iketani -takasuka -Yoshiyuki -Hioki -Omori -Kajihara -tsukada -sato -tada -araki -keitaro -mutoe -suzuki -oshima -stefanie -oliver -jessie -fujita -kane -kawaguchi -ryo -shingo -yamada -akiyama -nagano -yuji -yusuke
i'm obviously taking about the competitors in their sasuke 40 state (eg: shingo taking the course as a 48 year old man). Who could clear the first stage, who can clear the second, who can make the final stage and most importantly, who can Kanzen?

Not gonna go over this entire list but generally.....
The entire Morimoto Sedai bar maybe Jun, Yuuji, Kajihara, Hioki, and Nakashima will Kanzen. Ryo might but could very easily just choke on Stage 1 or 2 knowing him. Tomohiro is also not out of the running either.
The less upper body-focussed competitors will probably time out on the Final like Mutou, Sato, and Saikawa.
The only thing on Stage 3 I can see tripping anyone up would be the Pole Bridge, which might trip up the less lower-body specialised competitors (like Ryo).
A lot of the bigger (and hence slower) or less seasoned competitors will probably time out on Stage 2; I'm thinking Isa, Suzuki, Shunsuke (definitely as the first half of 1's Stage 2 is a Spider Walk), the celebrity competitors bar Kajihara and Saikawa, and so forth.
The inconsistent competitors could fail Stage 1; specifically Goto, Ryo, Matsuda, Shingo. As will the past-their-prime competitors. Yamada, Akiyama, and possibly Nagano are too slow and too long out of the game at this point.

Nagano almost beat 40's stage 1 and Yamada already beat that stage 1.

Bear in mind this is considering the competitors as they are today, not during their prime. Nagano is capable of clearing that Stage 1 even now but his speed and stamina is just gone; I do think he could potentially clear it, hence why I said "possibly", but it's nowhere near as guaranteed as a lot of the younger members of the current cohort. Yamada is just too slow, I could definitely see him taking too much time on the Taki Kudari and the Sosoritatsu Kabe.

In 38, he had a pretty good time at the Dragon Glider, on pace to clear and in 40 he injured his leg on the silk slider dismount and got stalled on the fishbone. If his stamina was gone he would have just collapsed on the tackle or failed the first wall. Sasuke 1's time limit was so lenient that 44 year old Kiyomi who held the old age record till 40, didn't even go for a few second because he didn't hear the time limit and still cleared with 15 seconds. Modern Yamada also imo has a better pace than what he used too and as 38 showed he is very capable of doing well on the modern course.
