Here's how I think Champbell might do if he competed from sasuke 28-40: 

28: Crazy cliffhanger jump 

29: Wall lifting 

30: Vertical Limit or possible Kanzen 

31: Vertical Limit 

32: Flying Bar or Ultra crazy second jump 

33: Flying Bar 

34: Ultra crazy second jump or Vertical Limit Kai first ledge 

35: Dragon glider 

36: Vertical Limit third ledge 

37: Jugo Dan or Final stage rope climb 

38: Wall lifting 

39: Cliff Dimension first ledge or wrapped wall if he gets a higher number 

40: Cliff Dimension second ledge 

What do you all think?

Pretty much agreed with this except for 30; that Final's Spider Climb walls were incredibly slippery leading to poor traction, hence why Tomo did so poorly, and imo if Ryo who's much smaller and lighter couldn't beat the tower then I'm unsure that David would have been able to surpass him. He's undoubtedly a good rope climber as he Kanzened on Sasuke Vietnam which was just a straight rope, but I can see his weight working against him on the spider walls.

I'm also unconvinced he'd be able to beat the Cliffhanger as many times as stated above given that Drew, who was undoubtedly a much stronger competitor during that period, had various bouts of inconsistency. 

I also don't follow ANW enough to know about how he's been doing recently but I'm also aware of the fact that he'd be well into his 40s during the latter part of this era, I'm not sure if that would have a significant effect on his speed or stamina. I know he's had a pretty long streak of Stage 1 fails but I'm unsure as to whether that's due to him aging or just bad luck/tough obstacles. 

I do think that he was possibly indirectly centimeters away from a Kanzen in 27, as he almost cleared the Ultimate Cliffhanger and with how easy that Final was, he very likely would've beaten it, provided he didn't fumble the Chain See Saw. Same goes for Hashimoto who I also think could've beaten 27's Final given how close he came in 24 which was an objectively harder variant.

I think you overestimate his ability especially with the cliffhanger. He's never beaten a version of it in official competition, his weight works too much against him. On modern ANW he has really struggled.

28: Spin Bridge most likely given he's failed similar obstacle too it on ANW. Maybe he could clear if he was lucky. In that case either a swap salmon ladder dq or crazy cliffhanger jump.

29: Swap Salmon ladder dq, backstream or passing wall time out.

30: Swap Salmon ladder dq, wall lift or crazy cliffhanger jump.

31: Warped Wall timeout most likely given it was raised and the tackle. Maybe his height could help him in which case, probably a lumberjack fail. Best case scenario for him would be the crazy cliffhanger jump.

32: I'd say TIE fighter, Double Pendulum dismount, Warped Wall or Lumberjack Climb. There is a decent chance he would be running in the rain before Drew's run. If he got really lucky I think he could clear and stage 2 wouldn't be an issue so on stage 3 he'd either fail the flying bar, sidewinder R or in the best case the first jump of the UCCH.

33: He could fail at the same spots as 33 including the fishbone as he has struggled with balance obstacles. On stage 2, I think the final combo would drain him out and he'd time out at the wall. In the best case though the glitched flying bar, I really wonder besides Drew who else could have beaten it.

34: At this point the stagnant stage 1 (and stage 2) would be less of an issue for him but anything could happen. On stage 3, this could possibly be his first chance to beat a crazy jump but only the first one. So either the first jump or the second jump would be his best.

35: Agree with Dragon Glider as he has struggled on its version in ANW.

36: Dragon Glider probably again. Best case scenario the second jump of the UCCH.

37: Dragon Glider again, maybe similar to Darvish where fog screwed him over. I do think however he could beat the stopped cliffhanger dimension here but he would have to be really f***ing lucky and would have to train relentlessly prior. On the VLT, although it did have thicker ledges, David is still one of the heavier competitors and would have never attempted it before, him beating it may be possible but it would be 1 in a million. So in this case for 37, Dragon Glider, Cliffhanger Dimension, VLT and in a miracle scenario the salmon ladder Jugo Dan.

38: Agree with Wall lifting.

39: Warped Wall most likely. If he has good luck then probably the swing edge.

40: Agree with cliff dimension second ledge if he keeps up with his training.

30: Tsuna Nobori (He beat SV2’s final which was the same, but only barely, and I think the slippery walls would be his downfall)
31: Vertical Limit (The introduction of the transfer would cost him
here)
32: Flying Bar (He would be in the sweet spot, where he would run after ****, meaning he gets to run Stage 1 the next day, but have to run Stage 3 in the rain)
33: Fishbone (Could see him messing up here)
34: Ultra Crazy Cliffhanger (Again, the timing would be slightly off)

I do think he could continue to do well. Even though his ANW results hasn't been the great, he has constantly gotten through qualifying and semi-finals where the course has been much harder than sasuke's stage 1. Hell, he has even made it quite deep into stage 1 on ANW even though the stage 1 on ANW is harder than even the stage 2 we have on sasuke. Once again, I get anything could happen but I'm pretty confident to say that Champbell could do really well had he continue competing. 

Also, I remember on his instagram that he said that he still trains for sasuke till this day, and that his home course was designed to do well on sasuke, so there's that.
