Fill in the blank. Under what circumstances, in your eyes, will Sasuke have officially jumped the shark?
I'll start:
Sasuke will have jumped the shark when... * 50+ competitors clear Stage 1. (The course is officially too easy at this point.) * 3 or more people kanzen in the same tournament. (Same as above) * They add or remove a whole stage. (This kind of drastic re-tooling is almost always a last-ditch effort to save a show from cancellation.) * They move the course indoors. (This ruined Kunoichi, in my opinion.)
What do you think?

Imo, trying to be like ANW and having qualifiers, regional finals and so many gimmicks on the grand final, thus losing the shows identity.

I guess when they decide to fill up 70-85% of the roster with celebrities, a good portion of which have absolutely no shot. Also like what zoran, having qualifiers. One more is nerfing?

I feel like that the celebrities thing is.. well There is reason for it, mainly being what I'll guess to be money. It'll be profitable for TBS to have the celebrities on there, and it'll be profitable for the celebrities to be on the show. As long as it's kept to a reasonable amount, I'm personally fine with it. If it keeps the show running, I guess. I do feel like there is something to be said about the stars of Sasuke (those who have kanzenseiha'd for example) being celebrities themselves in a way. That would of course, be because of their performances on Sasuke, and not due to whatever other things that the celebrities appearing now are famous due to.
But yeah, too many celebrities would definitely be bad.

The entire Third Stage is a Cliff Dimension and Vertical Limit Burst combo without any rest point
Stage Two is an entire Backstream with the jets being faster than 29 with the time limit reduced to 60 seconds
Darvish, ABC-Z, Snow Man, Kyan, Soshina, and Seiya wear #95 to 100
Yusuke, Yuuji, and Nagano wear #1,#2, and #3
Bring Sasuke 19 Stage One and make the Jumping Spider, Warped Wall, and Flying Chute even harder and reduce the time limit to 100 seconds

Could be worse if Darvish was given #100, Snow Man #99, and ABC-Z #98

It's funny because they actually tried to implement adding a stage with Stage 2B in Sasuke 30, lol. For me it would be: - An impossible or broken obstacle that ends tournaments several years in a row and isn't rectified, leading to perennial stagnation. - Starting to cull the "less talented" mainstay competitors like the All-Stars in favour of 80%+ celebrities, drawing out Stage 1's runtime to 4+ hours. - Making Stages 1 and 2 playgrounds so that even the least athletic celebrities can reach Stage 3, then compensating by making Stages 3 and 4 impossible for every competitor bar Yusuke without fail. - No one except Yusuke makes it past the Cliffhanger for like 5-10 tournaments in a row, with him constantly winning time after time, Stages 3 and 4 being made harder, and everyone being pushed back to square 1. - Forcefully retiring certain groups of competitors because they haven't been performing well in the past few tournaments despite their prior track records and impact on the show. What's sad about this whole situation is that all of my suggestions are just more extreme versions of things that have actually happened during the Inui era, lmao...... I'm also going to give an unpopular opinion and say I wouldn't hate the idea of having like a one off tournament indoors, like if there's a monsoon for weeks on end and they can't reschedule the taping date, so are forced to move locations or something. I'd rather have that than no tournament, and as long as they don't present it in an overly game show-y way I'm not massively adverse to it. Kunoichi was done poorly because the lighting and presentation reminded me of the kinds of kids' game shows I used to watch when I was younger. Sasuke 1 wasn't bad even though it was a proof of concept, the darkness surrounding the stage maintained that notion of "you vs the course".

I haven't actually thought of someone like Morimoto or Nagano being considered a "celebrity", mainly because they still have their day jobs. That being said, I do agree, I just kind of wouldn't want celebrities who just fail something like the Rolling Hill ig

With celebrities it's a law of limiting returns. Having a good number of famous celebrities that will draw in the masses and drive ratings is highly necessary, yes, but they've started inviting so many to the point that the lesser ones end up getting digested or cut, which begs the question, what's even the point in having them there in the first place? I'd say having enough celebrities to drive the ratings, while also allowing more lee way for newer talent that can reach the later stages and hence sustain more post-tournament content for longer on the YouTube channel, and hence driving more continued interest in the show (which you need with a year between consecutive tournaments now) will satisfy both parties. Especially given with how many subscribers and views the Sasuke channel gets, the hardcore fanbase is becoming an increasingly large proportion of those interested and tuning into the show. So they also drive ratings. 80%+ celebrities while the remainder being the exact same competitors is just going to turn a lot of those people off, because it's unnecessary and will become monotonous and painful.

I wouldn't mind having SASUKE indoors. It would prevent weather disasters like 39, and in the grand scheme of things it wouldn't really change all that much in terms of show enjoyment.

-Give #96-#100 to Seiya, Kasuga, Fuwa-chan, Takashi Honma and Torisawa -Have the Cliff Dimension+VLK+Pipe Slider combo as the three first obstacles in Stage 1 -A foreigner will kanzen
