A while back, I made a thread similar to this, but creating another one with more competitors for you all to answer. What I mean by this is, which run from a certain competitor do you think is the best for that competitor that isn't their best run? An example I have is below: I believe that Kanno's best run was his sasuke 31 run because he seemed more in control and his carry cliffhanger clear was amazing to watch. I believe this run of his is better than his sasuke 23 run, even though in sasuke 23, he made the final stage, but to be honest, he was pretty lucky considering his run was quite flimsy. Here's a list you all can answer from: Takeda Nagano Bunpei Shingo Akiyama Yamada Shunsuke Takahashi Kanno Okuyama Yuji Hashimoto Ryo Asa Yusuke Kawaguchi Sato Tada Yoshi Hioki Keitaro Iketani Shane Nakata Asaoka Massaki Kobayashi Shinji Koji Yamada Tajima Ishikawa Terukazu Suzuki Anastase Ragivaru Araki Isa Kajihara Mutou Tomohiro Kane Jorden Levi Lee En Chi David Campbell Rene Brian Orosco Answer away and feel free for you all to add your own competitors! Also, there are some here on this list that was also on the previous list, but I added it here for you all to answer here as well! Also, here's the original thread: sasukemaniac.proboards.com/thread/9813/best-run-competitors-carer

For the sake of brevity I'm only going to answer those where my pick is NOT their best performance:
Shingo - 40; don't need to explain why
Yamada - 10; beat a brutally hard Stage 1 that felled every other All-Star, and gave a great last stand on Stage 3 despite being in his late 30s which was pretty old back then. His Final attempt in 3 was obviously awesome, but what soured it for me was the fact that he struggled pretty heavily on what was arguably the easiest Stage 3 in existence.
Kanno - 31; him beating the Cliffhanger after 3 failed attempts was incredible to see, and as you mentioned his 23 run was incredibly sloppy with multiple close calls on the first two stages.
Okuyama - 20 or 26; 20 because he just came out of nowhere to beat one of the toughest Stage 1s in history, and absolutely destroyed the Salmon Ladder that had ended the previous tournament, only being prevented from a Stage 3 attempt by a malfunction. 26 for him being the only Japanese competitor to attempt Stage 3 despite being well into his 40s. His run in 24 was obviously great but he was one of five Finalists so this performance doesn't stand out to me like the aforementioned did.
Yuuji - 40; almost reaching the Final at 44 years old on one of the toughest (realistic) Stage 3s. For the record I didn't not pick his Kanzen because I'm under any illusion that his achievements aren't worthy due to him winning on an "easy" or nerfed course, he was still the only one to do it both times, more that I'm just a sucker for guys in their 40s showing the younger generation how it's done.
Keitaro - redacted
Lee En-Chih - 25-26; the only non-champion bar Drew to have two first place finishes back to back. Not picking 24 for the same reason as Okuyama, in that being one of Five finalists made his run stand out a lot less.
I know people are going to put 40 for Kane, but for me personally NOTHING compares to his Stage 3 clear and Final battle in the torrential rain in 8. Imo it defined the tournament and was like something out of a movie.

Just realized it's for competitors without their performance: Hashimoto: 27 Iketani: 10 Hioki: 37 Koji Yamada: 19 Campbell: 26 (is this his best performance?) Shane: 6? Takahashi: 29? Shunsuke: 30 Akiyama: 12 Bunpei: 16 Nakata: 17? Shinji: 14 Tajima: 23 Sato: 32 Mutou: 40 Yusuke: 36 Keitaro: (can't say it) Kane: 8 Rene: He only has two appearances Ryo: 36 Kanno: 31 Yoshi: 38 Masaaki Kobayashi: 14 Suzuki: 32 Anastase: 31 Lee En Chih: 26 Orosco: 26 Jorden: 16 Okuyama: 26 Isa: 37?
