On the 7-17 version of the spider walk, there is a cameraman in the middle who films the competitor as they go up with the shot usually going next to a side view of the obstacle. Has anyone ever fallen down the middle on top of the cameraman?

Has anyone ever fallen down the middle on top of the cameraman? The cameras usually have an extender such that the cameraman can film directly under the competitor without obviously having to go in the water pit that's directly below the middle of the obstacle. To answer your question, no, though I do believe this did happen with Takeda in Sasuke 6 on the Body Prop, as he seemed to land directly on the camera filming him underneath. Also, if I remember correctly, one of the cameramen fell into the water during Bunpei's Pipe Slider fail in 13.

Yeah rewatching the g4 version of Bunepi's fail and you can see someone fall in on the reflection of the side of the landing platform, pretty funny there's no fuss raised over it. A cameraman also fell in during the competitor who couldn't pull off his trousers in 19 so instead of pulling them up, he ran right into the steps with them down.

It's kind of amazing more competitors didn't fall on the camera. But I think the camera is actually on a pole, and it's pretty easy to yank the pole back before the competitor falls on it. Speaking of cameras, I'm also digging the number of drone cameras they have zipping around the course these days. It feels very futuristic and high-tech when you see numerous drones flying around in the background. Must be fun to operate one too.
