What I mean by my question is which runs from a competitor do you think was their best run? Not talking about how which run they went very far but a run that was so good even though it wasn't their best run.
I'll give a example, i believe that the best run for Kanno would be his sasuke 31 run, where he seemed more in control and the epic crazy cliffhanger clear, which was arguably better than his sasuke 23 run, even though in sasuke 23, he made it much further, but the run was hostly quite sloppy and luck based.
Here's a list of competitors for you all to do from -Nagano -Akiyama -Yamada -Takeda -shingo -bunpei -yusuke -Yuji -Nagasaki -Ryo -takahashi -hashimoto -kawaguchi -sato -Asa
That's all ill add feel free to add your own competitors not in the list as well!

If we're going by my favorite run that isn't their best.
Nagano - 23 (comes back with a vengeance after 22 and the drama of his rerun in 23, makes Stages 2 and 3 look like a complete cakewalk and almost wins at 37 years old) Akiyama - 12 (proved to some degree that his run in 11 wasn't a fluke, putting down much faster times and almost earning a ticket to a second Final attempt and potential Kanzen) Yamada - 10 (his last stand on Stage 3 and one of his most emotional runs) Takeda - 23 (probably his only real chance at a Final attempt, he gave it a really good run but made a rookie error last minute) Shingo - 5 (defeating a brutal first two stages and almost clearing a renewed Stage 3, all with a shoulder injury) Bunpei - 16 (completely cheesed the Stage 3 that had caused so much trouble and comes inches away from clearing, coming in first place at almost 40 years old, and generally seeming much faster and on fire than he did on Stages 1 and 2 previously) Yusuke - 35 (this was the tournament that really consolidated his domination, and finally breaking out of the Stage 3 curse) Yuuji - 40 (beats the Dimension and almost clears the VL at 44 years old) Nagasaki - 18 (proved his run in 17 wasn't a fluke by coming in joint first place on a complete renewal) Ryo - 36 (one of the most memorable redemption runs after 5 straight fails and almost makes it back to the Final a third time) Kongu - 29 (his astounding Stage 2 performance + completely mogging the Iron Paddler) Hashimoto - 27 (first to beat UCH) Kawaguchi - 40 (avenges his past failures and makes it back to Stage 3, and how close his Stage 1 and 2 runs were made it all the more exciting) Sato - 32 (comes back after 6 years and comes in joint 2nd place) Asa - 28 (kind of hard to pick as 4 of his 8 runs were tied joint best lol, but this was his true breakout)
