Something funny i notice is that some competitors wear the same t shirt over and over again. A few examples would be: -shunsuke wearing the same orange move sport t shirt from 38-40 -keitaro wearing the same blue green shirt in his stage 1 and more recently, stage 3 attempts from I believe as early as from 35 all the way to 40. -Araki wearing the same pink shirt from 38-40 -Tada wearing the same yellow polo from 37-40, also like keitaro, he wears it in his stage 1 and 3 attempts -Yusuke wearing the same blue shirt since sasuke 36-40 -and most notably, shingo wearing his gas uniform for most of his sasuke career.
There are so much more examples
Any reason why they do so? Other than for convenience, does it help one mentally to do well?

Competitors are fundamentally more memorable when you not only remember their face and track record but their outfit as well. This is why a lot of mascot groups in cartoons have different outfits or colours to distinguish them from one another. Also, in some of the above's cases it's their uniform that they want to show on screen for certain reasons. Tada wore that polo because it's got the Yamagata Prefecture logo on it and he's a government worker for Yamagata, Yusuke wears an IDEC shirt as he's a software engineer for that company, and Shingo's gas station uniform was just iconic. I also think Keitaro wears that same shirt and camo pants because they're by rock climbing brands that he supports or sponsor him, idk. I think they're called Thoufun and Namikaze Bags off the top of my head. I also think the Morimoto Sedai are maybe purposely color coding themselves to stand out as a new mascot group, because they only really started wearing the same colours every tournament since they were fully established in 36-38. Keitaro is green, Araki is pink, Yusuke is blue, Tada is yellow, and Jun is white.

Like what dakohosu said, although for Nagasaki, I dunno. I suppose Nagasaki just decided to wear that shirt because he can. Unsure if his management company has anything to do with it.

You are invited to the show in Japan based on your job. So you are informally "required" to have a uniform or other identifying feature of the job you were representing. Sasuke has a list of jobs and quotas for each (so you won't get like 8 teachers, 4 fishermen, 6 retail, etc). Those who didn't have a uniform used something close to identifying feature (like Nagano because of his invite video, etc.). The rest believe it or not is based on superstition if they did well with certain uniforms/color schemes. You'd be surprised how much superstition plays a part in all of this.

There's difference for Tada's 37~39 and 40. He still wears the same colour and instead of having the cherry Yamagata logo on his shirt he has a prop with him on the start line, so different but kinda still the same sorta vibe.
