Something I wondered is, if someone specialised in parkour and rock climbing, could they be a final stage regular.
I mean, Sato is a parkour expert and look how consistent is he a making stage 3, also, Sean Mccoll is a rock climber and look at his skills on stage 3 in USA vs the world (apologies as this isn't part about Sean really related to sasuke but just the best example i can think of in terms of a rock climber doing well on stage 3, a similar example would be yusuke but he doesn't really do rock climbing).
So, what do you all think? Answer away!

Tada is kind of proof of this.
He's definitely not a parkour expert, but he has done a fair bit of parkour training in playgrounds as well as with Jun, and he also regularly rock climbs, and he made the Final twice in four tournaments.
Generally though the key to becoming a Final Stage regular on the current course is just aggressively training the specific obstacles due to the specificity of a lot of the movements like the Cliffhanger transitions and a lot of Stage 1, as well as supplementary training like parkour and rock climbing. Yusuke and Keitaro are both rock climbers, but don't forget that they're as well esteemed as competitors as they are currently because they've been training for Sasuke for almost 15-20 years, Yusuke being infamously known for starting training when he was a kid, and Keitaro becoming an UnCli member when he was like 15-16 years old, well before either started regularly rock climbing. But obviously rock climbing massively helps when it comes to building the grip strength required to even have the capability to keep up with especially Stage 3's ever increasing difficulty and reliance on finger strength.
There are loads of exceptions to this though. Yoshiyuki is a former gymnast and only trained for about 3-4 months before his debut in 37, and he has some of the highest potential out of any competitor currently. Same with Rene, who's an acrobat, and immediately just started dominating on NW Germany (albeit with some Cliffhanger struggles). Some competitors are inherently just built different, built to be able to do well at anything that comes their way.
