Basically what the title says. This is a chronological timeline-like list of every competitor who has touched the Tsuna Nobori/G-Rope in a tournament before time ran out, no matter how far they made it up. Each line represents three calendar months, starting from 9/27/'97. This is less of a stat thread and more one to show a point. You'll see what I mean.

Oh you're referring to the 7 year gap between Morimoto and Yoshiyuki Yamamoto?

Technically wouldn't you use the filming date if there is a listed one instead of broadcast date?

What's more baffling to think about is that had Yusuke not failed Stage 1 in Sasuke 37, then it's likely that no one would've even reached the Final Stage except him between Sasuke 31 and 40. Given that they nerfed the entirety of Stage 3 to make sure the Live Final went ahead BECAUSE Yusuke failed Stage 1, which wouldn't have happened had he cleared Stage 1. And I don't think Tada nor Rene would've made the Final in 37 had they faced the fully fledged Stage 3. Given Tada's struggles on the 1cm Vertical Limit and failing the Dimension in 38. And I'm also doubtful that Rene would've been able to clear either with the working Dimension being a completely new experience for him and the fact he's struggled on Cliffhangers a lot on NWG, as well as having to face the full VL.
That said, had Yoshi not been robbed in 38 by the wet ledge, there's a good chance he could've reached the Final, though whether he'd make it past the Jugo Dan in the rain I don't know. It also needs to be considered that 32 through 34 were complete write-offs due to Stage 3 being borderline impossible.
I would say Keitaro is the best bet to be the next competitor to touch the rope. At this point he's more likely than Tada to reach the Final in the near future, and given his climbing background he's less likely to gas out on the Jugo Dan due to being fatigued from the speed climbing.
