Shingo is one of (if not the only) only a handful of competitor to attempt every and never fail a variant of the salmon ladder, even into his late 40s. He clearly has some sort of natural ability at the obstacle. How do you think he would do (either Shingo or current Shingo) on the final stage salmon ladder? He still would have to beat the pre obstacle either the rockwall or spider climb. Could he beat it?

If Tada couldn't beat it, and Yoshiyuki was clearly gassed by the time he beat it, then I very much doubt Shingo would be able to. First of all, the Jugo Dan is 15 rungs vs like 4-5 that he's experienced, and the distances between the rungs are 45 cm vs 38(?) for the standard version. Then you need to consider the rock wall prior. That was enough to tire out Tada such that he couldn't even get halfway up the Jugo Dan, and Tada climbs regularly. Shingo doesn't, and doesn't have anywhere near the upper body endurance that Tada does, so I would imagine he'd probably, at best, gas out a few rungs up.

Still doubtful given how much harder it is than standard, in terms of both strength (more explosivity required for the larger rung distances) and endurance (the obstacle being longer in general). I would imagine he'd make it maybe 2/3 of the way up absolute max, then get the bar sideways and not be able to recover from there.
