Sasuke 41 Spoilers not to be posted in General

Hey guys,

So I'm just making this post because there have been repeated cases of Sasuke 41 spoilers being posted in General, which for the time being is not allowed to accommodate those who haven't seen the tournament or the results and want to go into it blind when they do watch it. It's clear that the rule has not been well communicated to the forum, even to the point that I myself (as a mod lol) made the mistake of posting a thread with spoilers on it, so to avoid having to message everyone to tell them about the rule I'm broadcasting this via a thread as it's a lot easier.

Any spoilers for 41, including things like lists by tournament number, or anything leaking any results from 41, should be posted in the Sasuke 41 thread list for the time being. 

I'll update on when the embargo for 41 spoilers is lifted, I need to talk to the other mods about this. The initial ruling was not until the next taping date, which is completely ridiculous and hasn't been enforced in years, I was personally thinking only a couple of weeks. But I'll discuss with the other mods and update accordingly.

To those who have posted spoilers that have had to be deleted, no sweat, I know none of you didn't mean to break the rule on purpose, and again it's an issue on our part to not have made this more clear. But please going forward adhere to the above.

Yes the concept behind this decade old rule is to keep all spoilers within the members only area whether it be ANW or Sasuke or Kunoichi (when that was a thing). The general embargo is up to next tournament since that then becomes the tournament that is locked down to members only. That rotates provided there is a new tournament. So in the case for Kunoichi where it was evident no new tournament was upcoming, the current tournament was unlocked after a year.

I know this is a frustrating rule and it was unevenly applied throughout the years. The point is to comply with previous requests of IP holders (NBC, TBS) of keeping tournament related spoilers from "ruining" syndicated new shows before they have had a chance to be sold worldwide. I don't have to like the rule, but that is why it is put in place. So if you can, multiple tournament discussions (like lists, etc.) please don't put "current" tournament information/spoilers in them outside of their own members only area.

Mods will most likely just move them to the appropriate "current" tournament board but those who just spam stuff (meaning it looks deliberate) then action will be taken. Otherwise just exercise caution. If it includes current tournament information, either omit it from a long multiple tournament discussion or just post it in the current tournament designated forum.

Imo yes. The new tournament technically has already been aired (World Cup), so go ahead.

Sorry I'm late. I know I will differ with mods on this (though to be honest I don't see it as a big issue). I would suggest just keep the 41 stuff (or what I call current tournament) to the respective boards. I know lists with multiples can get iffy but for the most part please keep the list to not include whatever is the current tournament.

World Cup is a spin off and considered a special. (It would be equivalent to ANW's specials of which there are numerous). The policy was when 42 was announced and people would talk about who would be invited, etc. etc. The general theory was 6 months or so (especially wince the tournaments were twice a year for several years but now they are yearly).

The goal in all of this is not to bring attention of TBS upon us. That is the sole goal in this. We don't have to like it.

For further clarification the "next tournament" should be considered the main numbered Sasuke's. Should in the future there would be more of these then we could probably add a separate forum for them. But for now treat them as you would the ANW US vs. World and have them within that tournament's boards. Just keep it consistent.

Okie dokie. I opened a Sasuke 42 board and over the next day or so anything tied to World Cup will be put there (as current and under Members only). This way since it JUST aired, we can keep the spoilers in a contained area. Once all the relevant posts are moved I'll unlock 41.

So please feel free to post in the 42 board. World Cup talk can go there as well. 41 will be unlocked (as their spoilers are now okay). I hadn't realized how much time had passed and more importantly that current stuff (42) is actually live with try outs just around the corner.

As for general Sasuke - yes up to 41 is good. Please refrain from talking about World Cup (keep that in 42). Hope that helps.
